The only thing that’s going to increase his price is if actual offers are made from rival clubs. His price won’t increase because of what a coach says or what a hack journo says.

I think an ‘NQR hopeful’ is a bit harsh BB. He’s played 24 games this season for GWS and is a good chance to play on the weekend in a Granny. Perhaps the argument will be that GWS can afford to carry him whereas we can’t, regardless I still think at AFL level you wouldn’t play 24 games in a season if you were NQR.

Yet Tomlinson has managed to play 24 games this season (and counting) for GWS. Stretch would be lucky to get a game for them.

Yep, surely there can’t be 19 teams and a Tassie team will happen sooner than later. The Tasmanian Suns sort of doesn’t work. Luckily our name being ‘Melbourne’ should save us from heading their with them, North or St Kilda to merge with the Suns and head to Tassie? My preference is for them to fold, the talent pool is spread to thin. However, if they must remain, the players they already have need incentives to stay. It’s clear already that priority picks and 18 year old draftees won’t be the answer, they’ll just leave after their initial two year contract if they’re any good. The incentives don’t have to last forever, just until they can build a winning culture and players want to stay. So potentially 150 years or so.

Set to join Gold Coast after the GF for 5 years at 600k a season. Too good to knock back IMO, take the money and run Brandon.
