You’re probably right, but that has nothing to do with my post.

Hawthorn vs Gold Coast was a bizarre game to watch, it had a ‘Legends Game’ feel about it. Roughy was playing the role of the lone female stuck in the forward line with the opposition making ridiculous mistakes so she can kick a goal. Then came the over the top fawning by the commentators. A truly weird spectacle.

Will you renew your membership in 2020?

Yep that was basically how I came to that amount. Between 15-20% which is reflected in the poll. -

My estimate was that we’d lose about 10,000 members which is about 20%. -

It’s been a good discussion so far, I take my hat off to the people that have already decided to renew their and their families memberships. To keep it going as it is, simply don’t reply to those who can’t keep it civil and decide to get personal. -

Thanks Andy, those were the three options I was going to go for. -

What did you change for this season? -
How about Fremantle’s first round pick and Langdon for Brayshaw?
-
And the comment he made in relation to retaining Neale (in which he failed):”It would be a real feather in my cap.” I believe he made the comment during his first press conference after being made GM. I think trading players should be about reaching a deal that is beneficial to both teams and not looking to ‘win’ the deal.

A mate has a family member who works at Fremantle and apparently Melbourne are leading the race for Langdon. That said, I’m not sure who else is chasing him. He’s definitely been talking to us the most, was what I was told also

I’ve been a member for 34 years, the last 16 as an interstate member and make at least one trip a year over east to watch a game. I wouldn’t consider myself a fair weather supporter. There just comes a time when enough is enough. -

Some are, most aren’t. The results and obvious lack of effort speaks for itself. We lost to the Swans by almost 10 goals, come on. -
And he would have played a vital role in getting Darren Burgess to the club. I’m not entirely sure @olisik knows what the role of GM - Football Manager encompasses.

Roos and PJ spoke very highly of him. That’s good enough for me.

This was my thought process every year up until now. But I’m finding it extremely difficult to hand over money to a club whose players clearly don’t care and aren’t trying. -
Brown’s kicked 9 goals from 9 kicks with another quarter to go.

Fair enough for the kids, I remember as a young fella getting my pack at the start of every year was something I looked forward too, regardless of how our previous season went. Luckily my little one (and the one due in October) will be too young to remember/know what a membership pack is. -
10 things to see v Kangas
Ethan Tremblay replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Absolutely spot on. We’re still the same old Melbourne with a rotten culture. Even though a team is having a poor year you can still find a reason to respect them, for Melbourne I have none anymore. They just roll over, it’s pathetic. -

Ben Brown beating Fred Fanning’s record. -
If you’re currently a member will you renew your membership next season or if you’re not a member would you even consider signing up for next season? Something smells rotten at the club, I don’t know what it is but it was evident after last nights lack of effort/care-factor. If the players can’t be bothered trying, I can’t be bothered renewing mine and my families memberships next season. The biggest disappointment for me is the flow on effect from making a Prelim to finishing second last (Gold Coast don’t count as a real team so really, we’re going to finish last). I think we’ll see a significant drop off in members next season after a record number this year. It’s disappointing but I’m over financially and emotionally supporting this basket case of a club. So who’s going to renew? (I was going to add a poll but the option disappears after the page fully loads).

Agree, he’d nail it.

I wish we had more players like Oliver. Not a great look yelling at a young teammate but at least he gives a [censored], unlike the rest of our players and ‘leaders’.
