How many ā€˜A+’ grade players have moved clubs in the last decade (A+ at the time of moving). Franklin Dangerfield Don’t say Treloar, he wasn’t A+ when he moved

I imagine it would be hard going from a club with facilities like Collingwood’s to our non-existent facilities and training on an under 10’s oval.

ā€œThere has never been any suggestion that he wants out of the club, but the Melbourne offer, of at least two years, is almost certain to exceed Collingwood's current one given the salary cap constraints at the Piesā€. - Niall. I haven’t heard or read anything else that indicated Elliott’s intentions or his thoughts on our offer.

Given the length and amount of the contract, Saints certainly think he’s worth pick 5. They’re shafting themselves.

  11. The WADA Prohibited List is the international standard for identifying substances and methods prohibited in sport. The List is updated annually and a substance will be considered for the List if it meets any two of the following three criteria: 1. It has the potential to enhance or enhances sport performance. 2. It represents an actual or potential health risk to the athlete. 3. It violates the spirit of sport. Why might marijuana and cannabinoids meet this criteria? Performance-enhancement: A common perception of marijuana is that its use impairs physical activity, including exercise performance. While the effects of marijuana can decrease hand-eye coordination and distort spatial perception, there are other effects that can be performance enhancing for some athletes and sport disciplines. Cannabis can cause muscle relaxation and reduce pain during post-workout recovery. It can also decrease anxiety and tension, resulting in better sport performance under pressure. In addition, cannabis can increase focus and risk-taking behaviors, allowing athletes to forget bad falls or previous trauma in sport, and push themselves past those fears in competition.[1] Actual or potential health risk: A number of studies show that marijuana use may cause a variety of health risks. These risks include negative effects on respiratory, cardiac, and mental health. Frequent marijuana smokers can experience respiratory problems including more frequent acute chest illness and a heightened risk of lung infections. Marijuana use raises the heart rate by 20-100 percent shortly after smoking which can increase the risk of heart attack. Chronic marijuana use has also been linked to mental illness including paranoia and psychosis.[2] Violation of the spirit of sport: Negative values and ethics included in sport, and beyond sport, are considered in this criteria. Due to the illegal nature of marijuana in most countries, the use or abuse of marijuana does not exhibit the ethics and moral judgment that upholds the spirit of sport.[1]

? I can’t see if happening either. And my MFCSS tells me if he were to come to us, he’d injure himself in the pre-season and retire mid-season.

Good post BB. But you didn’t mention the lure of more $.
  14. Although he was caught in the act, the official obtaining the sample doesn’t and isn’t authorised to do anything there or then. He takes the sample and reports on his observations where an investigation is then commenced. Hence the delay.
  15. Yep, nothing ā€˜lil’ about it.

He’s either unfit or lazy or both. A couple of times when the opposition marked the ball or were paid a free near him and a team mate was on the mark he’d take their position on the mark making them run backwards.
  17. Goal-kicking and development coach in 13 and 14 then 15 he was their backline coach. Hawks players speak very highly of Yze in assisting their kicking accuracy.

Second quarter goes to the umpires.
  19. I only know how well he’s doing because he’s ex-Melbourne but him being an ex-Dee has nothing to do with why I want him. Hawthorn managed to finish fourth last season (and didn’t do too badly this season considering their list) with an average list, they knew their opposition and prepared to counter them better than any other team. Yze’s role at the Hawks is match day and opposition coach, he’s exactly what we need.
  20. Something about it not being our ā€˜brand’... Well it was certainly our brand for the entire 2019 season. Perhaps a question is, in hindsight do you think you should have reviewed it Simon? (Personally I think he must have, for some reason he’s sticking to the story that he didn’t). Another question, what lead to so many players requiring post season surgery? Was it the game style, bad luck or something else? We had our fair whack of injuries this season too, but I’d put that down to underdone players (which apparently then were none...).
  21. Goodwin said himself that May came back underdone. "He'll get his rewards if he keeps working hard and stays in good shape. But he certainly won't be coming back to pre-season in that nick again, that's for sure."
  22. Close enough to speak to 3 board members and 2 members of the football department but didn’t know who the Head of List Management was? Interesting.
