Delistings/trades at end of the season
Coq au vin replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
On Grimes, I disagree. He's a turnover king, is slow, hand passes to players who are in imminent danger of being tackled, can't kick, and can't make quick correct decisions. -

Yes he is. Look at where his team sits on the ladder and he gets a game in that team every week. It's about playing a role in an elite team not just individual stats. -

It was a joke about a typographical error. Don't take things so literally. Also I think you would agree we have taken MANY of the wrong high draft picks over the last 10-15 years. Gee Demonlanders are picky! -

Yes we've secured a lot of "miss" in the past. We've picked Watts and missed Natanui, picked Toumpas and missed Wines, etc, etc. -

Back half didn't do it. The Bears' poor goal kicking skills did. -
Or Geelong were having a bad day.

Obviously not but it doesn't help.

We should stop going to Darwin.

Pedersen is out for the season with a nasty fractured wrist that required surgery.

Nonsense. If you think this bunch of duds, spuds and losers can win a premiership anytime in the next five years you must have a serious mental deficiency. We need better players. It's about winning games and premierships. -
What has happened to Dawes? A year before he left the Pies he had a great year, kicking multiple goals and playing his role at a high level as a forward. Since then he has been a highly paid law student and a dud player. Is he focussed on his career after footy and just using MFC to support him while he does his degree? It's disappointing for us as supporters.

What was needed was for three forwards to lead in three directions to draw the opposition and give the mids and backs some options to kick to. This is basic footy used very effectively by Norm Smith all those years ago!

All of these are due to be delisted. In fact we should have delisted them already, Where is the pride in MFC? Get some elite top level players into the greatest football club in the world and get rid of these spuds!!!!!! -
Fix the Midfield and we'll rise very quickly!

Watching last night's game between Norf and Essendrug showed two teams who can hit targets and actually take marks regularly, even under pressure and when contested. I kept thinking: why can't our players do that? -
When will Melbourne break these embarrassing records?

What's a loosing streak? Is that like when the dogs are let loose off the leash? Or perhaps when a person of loose morals does a streak across a football ground? -
Some forwards who can mark and kick goals would be good too.

Of course MFC should train at the MCG. It's our home ground that has been taken over by interlopers. It is not cricket that brings in the crowds and money to the ground. It's AFL. Melbourne were the original and oldest football club that played on this spot. In order to reed tabling a strong culture, an identity and a home ground advantage all of which we desperately need please let us train there! The blessed turf diesn't have to be perfect! It's football not Wimbledon centre court! -
