The answers will be at trade week .... Goody has some challenges in finding the leaders/culture that stops these lapses from occurring.... Very clear that we have huge lapses in our games we have lost in particular our 1st qtrs & even against the Lions & Port we let them back into the game ( though Port is a top team).

lost to spud teams e.g. Nth x 2, freox 1 Should have locked away a finals spot by now! Team has failed to take up opportunities & have a mental toughness issue either through a lack of leaders & getting ahead of themselves! Whilst our winning games has improved from 2016 x 2...the gap between our best & worst is still evident.... Until that closes expect seasons like this! As Goodwin said we haven't achieved anything yet!

Petracca will only get better as its his second year... Question is our more senior players & leadership throughout the game & week to ensure they were up for this game!

20 yr member... Seen 2 gf in my life & got flogged by a combined 150+pts! Seen a handful of finals only to see them run out of gas as usual! Seen 10 years of a complete train wreck! Seen another missed opportunity today! Seen great players always dogged with injuries e.g. Lyon,Swarta, Now Hogan & Viney! Im sorry if i sound negative ....But I continue SEE failure from this club!

How would Viney be feeling? Has Busted his rear end, coming back from injury & playing hurt etc Players have let down their Co-Captain, themselves & suffering supporters!

If the playing group believed they deserved finals they would have won...hate saying this,but a typical MFC result! Goodwin may say history has no bearing on current results but something is wrong with our leadership/culture that our players didn't turn up for such an important game with an opportunity to secure a finals spot! Clearly either way if we don't or do play finals the list needs to find more mongrel e.g. Hibberd

Just about done with this footy club..... Decades of pain apart from some successes which have always unravelled into infighting etc Though Goody 1st year...he needs to find tougher/stronger leaders in this team...

Still a 1/2 of footy to go... This club continues to breaks the hearts of its supporters & questions need to be asked....an opportunity to secure a finals spot vs a team playing for what? Were is the leadership to ensure the team is up for the game? Were is the intensity required to play at this level & for finals?

Goody is taking no prisoners....Dont perform ur dropped! Pederson has shown that opportunities will come up!

Just funny how things could work out...We got Tyson, Salem & Hunt from this deal so was a win on both teams

Imagine that... We gave up our pick 2 to GWS in 2013 who picked Josh Kelly & we will need to pay overs to get him now...

Facts are correct prior to Roos era our drafting was terrible along with poor development.....Even the best teams get it wrong e.g. Hawks took Thorp over Selwood..

Too many excuses for players at times when they can't execute the one percenters..... How many tackles as he laid in the last 3 weeks....8 in total thats 2.6 per game with only 2 against GWS... Were is the intensity & pressure?

If playing finals for the 1st time for a number of senior players is not a driver what is? Great opportunity to jump back into the 8 this week with the dogs losing & ess who should lose to the crows...

Not defending Watts last 3 games....But footballers do & should have other interests as they are not robots...Im sure the A graders across all clubs have an outlet.. Only Watts knows why he's playing poor! Petracca in his second season, enough said!

As frustrated as we all are the reality is perhaps we're just not ready ... The Tigers look like challenging this year after 3--4 yrs of similar performances like ours ...

Luv your rational! Seriously if we don't play finals its a failure.... If we finish on 12 wins & miss out on % its an improvement over 2016 on wins.. Reality is, its a very even comp & its possible that teams on the ladder from 7-11 may be on 12 wins and a lot of teams have lost close ones not just us!

Just wanted to highlight... Since returning from Injury Watts has not touched the ball a lot or impacted in his last 3 games.. Prior to his injury he's played well.. what's frustrating to see for a player who's never played finals & played in very poor sides . I can't see any apitite for the contest . I don't see any hard tackling or pressure acts as a Senior player we're is his leadrship? Surely the coaches can't accept this . I don't want him to be the whipping boy but ffs opportunity to play finals!! need to see the hunger & aggression..
