Totally agree…yet to understand the strategy after winning the flag regarding list mgt and the glaring hole we had in a big fwd given the state of BB knee issues, a young list winning a flag were they expecting more growth? Signing long term deals did that restrict them chasing free agents etc? Very evident who they traded in were very average, looking at cats strategy which has been clear since the expansion clubs is they target quality free agents & blend it with youth and supported with strong culture. Whilst Goodwin time is up I think the whole footy dept needs to take responsibility and list mgt but they may be guided from the footy dept on what they can spend etc

That’s because we have been in interim mode since Roffey & Pert departures… long term decisions can’t be made it’s been an unstable club forever even during our premiership & what come after is a cause of our current position!

It comes a stage when any coach after a decade needs a change and not for the sake of change, Longmire , Simpson & Clarkson had their success and after a decade it was time to clear the air, Goodwin needs to put his hand up and say for the good of the players & club he’s done what he could as his message isn’t working and thank him for the flag and forever grateful.

Spot on, many supporters in denial , thanks for the flag but the fall from grace he needs to be held to account inc Richardson running of the footy dept, reality how many 10 year coaches have won another flag basically rebuilding the list, exclude Scott as he was gifted a premiership team in 11, Goody is cooked needs to go as perhaps 1 more chance with our seniors left

Club is delusional, members/supporters will vote with their feet not turn up or not buy memberships! We were deplorable, playing 1 qtr doesn't cut it, he’s unwound every aspect of what we were, he’s record since 21 is poor, we will win less games than last year & another bottom 6 Finnish, the blind faith for winning a flag 4 seasons ago sums up our cub , one hit wonders

Listened to his presser, in denial our skill execution s as d kicking was the worst I’ve seen since Roos too over! I’m sorry Simon what we have become in 4 seasons is a disgrace with so many experienced players isn’t acceptable, do the right thing by the players & members/supporters!

Goes deeper than just Godwin though heeds to go, whole footy dept , what responsibility is on Richardson and he’s decisions on assistant coaches etc , list mgt. Collectively they have managed this list from premiers to bottom 6! Club can’t have blind faith based on a flag 4 yrs ago, look at WC 7 years on and going nowhere, players need a new voice or we will see the said demise of the list. Unfortunately new president & ceo don’t start until August /sept which sums up the club!

What’s making our skill level so poor and decision making amateurish

Has the been another club since 2000 win a flag and drop off so dramatically?? Daniher teams with worse facilities played in finals 2000 GF, 02,04,05,06, Goodwin hasn’t been able to reinvent himself, has had 4 seasons to and each season is getting worse and so are the so called stars who are shadow of what they were! Needs to go along with Richo & target new assistants

Very evident there are serious issues within the coaching and footy dept, we have gone backwards dramatically in 4 seasons with another bottom 6 finish totally unacceptable and our star players have regressed, club can’t accept this to continue in 26 with blind faith just because we won a flag in 21… consider the record since then 2 x straight sets exits & no finals in 24/25, compare this to the next 3 premiers all contending!

need to stop the denial an stop blaming umpires, we are in serious trouble and Goodwin along with he’s assistant coaches and footy dept are failing, they have destroyed the list and pushed us over the cliff , change is needed as he can’t fix it!

Another bottom 6 finish and it’s on the Goodwin , coaches & footy dept , its a disgrace what’s occurred since 21, our game plan, skill level has gone backwards yet the faith shown in Goodwin is a joke! Gone from 16 wins in22/23 to 11 & 6writing is in the wall, last 3 premiers haven’t fallen off the cliff but we should accept this debacle! When’s the heat going to go on Goodwin?

It’s been coming yet many in denial! What the coaching staff have managed to do to this list is mind boggling, yet our club has blind faith in Goodwin, basic skill errors and kicking skills/decision making, same is long bombs to 2vs1 fwds

whilst the last 3 premiers are challenging we are rebuilding and have gone back 10 years, what a joke we are & just accept Goodwin BS , good luck with membership with him selling the same bs rinse & repeat & another bottom 6 finish

It’s been a long time since I turned of the tv but tonight is the most putrid game .. consider it’s Oliver 200 game .. if this is Goodwin game plan he should hand the keys in, our skills have gone backwards, too many vfl payers, trac not player he was and what’s Oliver done??

Father Sons have worked well for the Lions & Pies, what I question is the strategy of those teams inc the cats in there premiership windows have topped up with experienced players vs our strategy to go back to the draft which Goodwin confirmed, did we blow the opportunity to maximise our window 22-23 ??
