Jack Watts Is Better With Titanic
pineapple dee replied to Engorged Onion's topic in Melbourne Demons
I hated the sight of Joffa nodding and grinning like a fool when the Pies got their 2nd last goal, no doubt thinking, " one more will do it ". Well, suffer goose. One more didn't do it. -
Yes ok Good for Jack but let's not forget that Watts was principally responsible for us being 28 points down in the first half !!!!

This thinking beggars belief. " Get someone on the commission" The commission is the clubs, all 18 of them not just Collingwood. " We want a level playing field ". Oh really, so do the " leech " clubs who don't make hundreds of thousands of dollars every time their team plays at the MCG by virtue of the fact the the Pies have been gifted the Ponsford stand by the MCC and can do and charge what they like for the privilege of going in there. Take all MRP decisions to court. Well a certain merit to this one I have to admit since the MRP seem to make it up as they go along. And some clubs suffer injustice as a result. Maybe just maybe Collingwood was beaten on Monday by a better team. Think about that for a moment Magpie muppets. -

This was one of the more articulate and compelling comments Mauriesy. -

The thing to remember is that Collingwood make high 6 figure sums profit from luncheons seating packages every time they play at the G. Of course they're not going to toss it away because of a few of their ill educated supporters get upset over a loss. What ought to concern them more are the wide open spaces behind the goals at the Ponsford stand end when their team is really struggling. (like last year ) -
The pies fans are annoyed at losing a match to the Dees on QB and want to pull out of the Big Freeze match. I would have thought they were the perfect opponent for the game. They build a big lead (28 points ) then Freeze. Long may the tradition continue !!!

I already did and surprisingly, the locals didn't seem to like it.

Well we've won our " Grand Final " LOL That just adds to the 6 out of 7 real Grand Finals we've won in September against this mob. Mick Malthouse, you buffoon !!!! Ps Thanks for Jeff Garlett !! Haha

Just went to the Collingwood big Footy post-mortem thread. Highly entertaining ! I thought I would make a small, sensitive comment for their edification. I said " Collingwood played well today. They were just outclassed." They have taken in good spirits. Except the one who replied " **** off back to the snow muppet " ⛷

Hannan. It was a marking contest and both showed great courage. Unfortunate for Dunn but just accidental.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 12

That skinny kid will get plenty of the ball. If we don't respect this kid, first game or not, he is capable of punishing us. -
I don't. Callum is a great young man and a very decent player. He'll be an absolute jet. I just hope he's not this week.

Jeremy said at the time that he was happy to be at the Pies because he had been assured by Buckley that there was a " defined role"in the forward line for him. And he's excelled in that defined role hasn't he ? Good on him !!!

Jetta wil look ordinary when he's one out in a marking contest and conceding 10-12 centimetres. But by god he's clever and he often outpoints bigger, stronger opposition. His record against dangerous small forwards this year is first class. He's had a chequered career but i'm glad he and we persevered. He's the epitome of the player you hope has the ultimate success. -
I went to Greece last year. Went to Naxos, Paros, Mykonos ....... and the one with all the housewives.... Domestos.

He says " please kick a goal " when a Hawks player has a ping. Why ??? If you want to barrack for a team Bruce, go and sit in the outer.

One of Grundy's strengths is around the ground marking. This is where we will need to nullify him if we can and not let him do as he likes with intercept marks.

Melksham is the query for me. Did he do enough yesterday ? Salem is a definite in. Hogan won't come back against the Pies. The week after for him. In 3 weeks the selectors will have a massive selection issue. Whoever goes out this week, unlucky !!

Settle down Petracca, I've heard of the early crow but ... 2 weeks early ???? Like your confidence though

Is there a dumber commentator than Cameron Ling ??? Umpire pays a free to Sydney... ( surely a mistake) clearly indicating a holding the man free. Ling in his ingratiating drawl says " below the knees, at least they're consistent " What' s consistent is this biased pro Hawthorn drivel you get from these fools every week. And Bruce, the king of hyperbole, is the ringleader of these sycophants. Pass me the sick bucket.

Free Kick Against Christian Salem in the last quarter
pineapple dee replied to solly21's topic in Melbourne Demons
In the distant past, and I don't recall this rule being deleted, "attempting" to trip was a reportable offence. No such thing now. Tripping, actual and attempts are ignored for the most part. The king of the trip, Dustbin Fletcher, made it his signature move and since it was him doing it on a regular basis, the AFL must have thought to themselves, " Let's not worry about it any more" Never mind that it might lead to a broken leg.
