  1. Pavlich looks finished, their forward line is poorly structured, and the lack of depth without Sandilands would be cause for concern (considering his age).
  2. And Ross Lyon doesn't have the patience to rebuild through the draft. They're just treading water under him, albeit very close to the shoreline.
  3. Also, 18 ranking points for Boyd at half time. Guess that missed sitter from 30 metres out took a few points off.
  4. Lots to learn from Round 1 so far. Sadly, Sydney's gifted Academy youth will produce one of the game's best midfields within a few seasons. Dogs look like the new Hawks. Not convinced by the Cats but we'll have to see how that plays out tomorrow. Richmond, Fremantle and Collingwood appear to be going nowhere. Not convinced by Richmond's win, especially.
  5. Stringer is a gun but FMD he's selfish and arrogant; burns his teammates all day long. It's no wonder how he regularly scores 4 or 5 goals. Got a lot of Stevie J about him... hopefully not the Premiership Player part though.
  6. Can verify this, saw plenty of GWS players around town while living in Sydney. Let's just say they love "being out of the AFL bubble" for a very obvious reason. Nobody recognises or cares about them being off their heads in exclusive Sydney nightclubs. Greene is an absolute pig. Must be the most hated player in the AFL amongst other teams.
  7. AFL Live Pass is free if you're a Telstra customer, isn't it?
  8. Thought the same thing. Wonder how Howe feels? In the doghouse with his coach and his teammates serve up this rubbish for round one.
  9. Has Buckley lost the players or something? They aren't even pretending to care. Also, Isaac Heeney is a freak.
  10. This performance by Collingwood is putrid. They aren't even trying? Surely this isn't just because of the drugs saga?
  11. What the hell? Did not expect this from Collingwood at all, genuinely expected them to be top 4 contenders. I assumed they tanked the last half of 2015 to ensure a high enough pick for Treloar, but maybe Buckley really can't coach! Adding the uncompetitive, butter-soft Howe to this mess ain't gonna do them any favours!
  12. His first year with us was exemplary. He played most of last year injured. Had a horrible day out today but he'll work on his deficiencies.
  13. Carlton's list right now is better than what Roos inherited 2.5 years ago.
  14. Didn't the AFL quietly rule that all banned players could exercise the rights of a DELISTED free agent come season's end? There's no FA compensation for Essendon in that scenario, so they'd be up the creek. It remains to be seen what the players will do. They could royally screw their club if so desired, but the dimwits have all been successfully brainwashed into blaming WADA/ASADA and not the bastards who injected them.
  15. Dyson Heppell: Dumb as dog [censored] and too stupid to realise he's being used a pawn by his club and the Essendon Apologists Society (NewsCorp). Sad to see Gerard's clearly been neutered on this topic, after he went hard at Hird last year. Guess journalistic integrity takes a back seat when you want the cash flowing in your bank account.
  16. Pretty fair assessment. I think it'll take until next year to play finals as well. The team needs a solid season together to build cohesion as a unit. Petracca hasn't even played a game.
  17. There's already the finals series for that.
  18. He erroneously states that Melksham was banned for using AOD. It was actually TB4, like all the Bombers.
  19. All sounds perfectly logical to me. I'm not surprised by anything you said because it sounds exactly like McKenna (good developer but too nice, let standards slip) and exactly like Eade (pendulum swung too far in the opposite direction to "discipline" the list). Neither strategy works. As with all things, balance is the key to success. Where Roos came into the Demons and balanced the criticism with cuddles, Eade simply isn't the type to sugarcoat his sprays. Layer on top the questionable leadership of Ablett, the guy fawned over as the "difference between the Suns winning or losing", and it's not hard to see why players have checked out.
  20. The surname is almost too good to be true, considering the type of game he loves playing.
  21. Would be a good thing for the club to promote such a practice match and get a big crowd down.
  22. Well anyone dumb enough to partake in a performance enhancing drugs program is clearly a bit empty between the ears. Soz, Melkshake!
