  1. He's an absolute [censored]. No idea why they even pursued him, especially at the expense of Milera/Francis. Their list profile is young anyway, why not go after a fresh draftee without the baggage of drug cheating bans?
  2. Who will go down as the worst big-name recruit in recent AFL history? Mitch Clark Dale Thomas Jake Carlisle Got a feeling Carlisle will be a complete disaster for St Kilda, and completely undo all the excellent work Richo has done over the last 2 years.
  3. Clearly we should just cut our losses and delist him.
  4. This. He could play Casey round one, then come straight in to play Essendon's glorified VFL team. What's he going to learn by playing the rejects of a reject VFL team?
  5. Hahahaha, sue his new employer!? How petulant can you get?? He's certainly going out of his way to break bridges.
  6. Definitely getting carried away now. More sensibly, I expect a minimum 400 goal thrashing. Clayton will bury Parish's face into the dirt after the opening bounce and T-Mac, Dunn & Garland will play stacks on with Daniher after he kicks 0.13 for the day. Amusingly, Hird will be pelted with tomatoes by ASADA support staff while Tania silently takes notes from a distance, clad in sunglasses and black clothing.
  7. Petracca could debut against Essendon. Oh boy oh boy oh boy!
  8. I'm a little perplexed the club hasn't hired a goalkicking mentor to help Hogan with this, ala the Bombers hiring Lloyd to mentor Daniher. Browny's in Melbourne regularly for Fox Footy, why don't the club get him in as a mentor?
  9. Hilarious to think that some posters thought we should shield him from round 1. He's Brayshaw all over again; no chance he isn't lining up against the Giants. Deadset gun in the making, this kid.
  10. Poor disposal from a zero gamer in a meaningless preseason game. Everybody panic! Let the kid find his feet before you get out the pitchforks, blimey.
  11. Was the roof open or closed? The quality of Richmond's disposal tonight made us look positively Hawthorn-like last week.
  12. Lots of drama unfolding tonight. Richmond apparently asked the AFL to cut the game short due to mass injuries and not enough rotations remaining with so few players available; AFL refused and Hardwick was furious.
  13. Not hard to see who really runs the AFL. It sure as [censored] isn't that spineless moron Gil.
  14. It is definitely so, so disappointing to win. I'm sick of this team already.
  15. Don't forget the inevitable first band compo for every free agent that abandons their sinking ship, despite being artificially lowered to the ladder floor due to drug cheating sanctions. Laughable.
  16. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the "veil of negativity." Maybe you should start another thread called "We're Still Shithouse" where you can moan about how godawful and culture-destroying all these pre-season wins are. Is it too late to get that Neeld fella back? What a disgraceful bunch of supporters; having the gall to... get this... celebrate... winning two games of footy. Hang your heads in shame, Demonlanders.
  17. Geez, in a few years time, these guys will be a headache for opposition. Viney, Oliver, Brayshaw, Petracca, who to tag?
  18. I followed last week's match by skimming the thread and couldn't believe the hyperbole of some comments. There's a level of negativity that pervades our club in some supporter circles (justifiably so), but we have to trust in this coaching group going forward.
  19. Just keep getting games into the kids and no injuries please! I don't care about the scoreline as much as getting more game time into Oliver, Stretch, VDB, etc. Of course there'll be the tedious wrist-slitting comments here if the QT scoreline isn't flattering, but it's another meaningless practice match. They're designed to test and tweak the gameplan and see how it lines up against opposition. Save the moaning for the season proper.
  20. Everyone said that last year after the Saints walloped them by 100 points. We had the same comments about how it'd be a cakewalk for us, while a few posters called for caution, correctly labeling the game a danger game (the Carlton match a few rounds later, too). I don't think the MFC has earned the right to pencil in W's for any match this year. 2015 proved we're still the kings of losing the "shoe-in" matches. Let's hope that habit gets eradicated this season. I'm quietly confident but the proof will be in the pudding.
  21. Almost had a [censored] heart attack seeing this thread bumped to the top alongside the Brayshaw injury thread.
  22. Unsurprising, there are definitely players that masquerade as the good guys of the game, but would happily down the opposition's gun players at the earliest opportunity. Never forget Hodge on Wingard. Hasn't stopped the boys-club media from gushing over the guy at every opportunity, naturally.
  23. How on earth does it help recruitment when their salaries go straight back into the cap come November?!
  24. Calm down everyone. No Jones, no Vince, first game of the year, they are on their second, they are playing a stronger side, they didn't have to travel. West Coast lost by 100 points last week for crying out loud. Not even taking the result seriously today. Just want to see Goodwin find his footing.
