  1. For the love of God, someone please tell me how to put 'ding' on ignore!
  2. Is it just me, or are we now staring down yet another chance to win two in a row? Obviously it won't happen because, well, Melbourne, but if we had to win one of the next two games it has to be Collingwood. It would be glorious!
  3. Seems Murphy has done his knee. Horrible news for the Dogs.
  4. That will depend on the result of Geelong's Dangerfield experiment. North have clearly shown that relying purely on top-ups and free agents doesn't translate to premierships.
  5. Who's to say West Coast aren't a viable alternative to Fremantle for Hulky? Anyway, I didn't realise Collingwood were next week (I never imagined we'd play them twice in the space of 7 rounds), but if the media pressure on the Pies this week is as great as it was against Essendon's embarrassing 100pt loss to the Saints last year (which was followed up by a typical Melbourne embarrassment), we better be ready for a fight next week. We seem to fair horribly against teams who face scrutiny then have something to prove. For the same reason I'm desperately concerned if Richmond get flogged by West Coast on Friday night, right before our Anzac Eve match. They will almost certainly face us in round 5 at 1-3. That Richmond haven't defeated us once in the Roos era is cause for optimism though (the only team that holds this honour).
  6. Exactly. They did exactly what the seniors were too complacent to achieve last week, so this is a great result.
  7. Don't forget fixturing! Essendon, Carlton and Brisbane as 3 of their first 4 opponents. Laughable, really.
  8. Well this is really just the thing this club needed after last week. Score update?
  9. Love it! About time this [censored] team had some grunt and arrogance.
  10. Possibly misunderstood -- Pies on QB I can see, but after the debacle of rushing in an underdone Brayshaw vs Essendon, surely the footy department aren't dumb enough to do it again with Trac?
  11. Fortunately it's become pretty clear that the teams who win premierships don't have these dour, defensive gameplans. Bulldogs will make/win a Grand Final before Fremantle do.
  12. Congratulations. Maybe you can go to the hospital Mitch King's undergoing knee surgery at and tell this nugget to his face; it'll definitely help his recovery.
  13. I'm not saying we just need to turn up for a win, don't put words in my mouth. Essendon was an opportunity for a win we let slip, badly. Richmond and Collingwood are opportunities for a win that we sure as hell better convert. But even the worst team in the league will defeat us if we don't turn up, as has been proved time and time again for the best part of a decade.
  14. Well if today's anything to go by (and the last two rounds, really), Collingwood and Richmond are simply garbage re-heated. Two opportunities for a win in the foreseeable future. Let's just hope we've re-built some momentum by Anzac Eve, because it sure as hell came crashing to the ground last week.
  15. The problem with last week is how predictable it was that we wouldn't turn up to that game. So many posters called it months before the season even started; to see it unfold so inevitably in reality was like watching a car crash in slow-motion. After Port's breathless win last night, I think it's perfectly understandable for Dees supporters to be feeling doubly filthy about last week's game and express themselves as such.
  16. That goal umpire needs his eyes checked if that needed a score review. Clear goal!
  17. Geez, because there's just so much positivity to discuss after our stunning upset defeat last week, isn't there? It's a discussion forum where people can express themselves however they like. If you don't like it, leave!
  18. Collingwood players down by 32 points in the last but jogging around the ground, completely uncompetitive. What the hell has happened to this team? They aren't bothering with their usual end-of-season fadeout this year, they aren't showing up in the first place! Saints looking fantastic though, there's such a fire in the belly of their youngsters and their senior players really do lead by example. Tackling pressure has been immense, and they nail those inside 50's with scoreboard pressure. We would do well to learn from this unit.
  19. Don't forget: complains about people derailing his training threads while obnoxiously doing the very same thing here. It's a thread about the state of the league, people are entitled to discuss it as they please.
