  1. Am growing a serious man crush on Dom Tyson. Almost the only glimmer of hope for next year. A seriously good, goal kicking mid in the making.
  2. How many goals has Dawes kicked this year now? Must be earning about $75k per goal.
  3. Hawks up by 15 points. Is this what success and excitement feels like in an AFL game??
  4. Pretty much since round one when we lost to the Saints, then solidified the last time WCE thrashed us by 100 points. Good to see we've made absolutely no progress throughout the whole year as we back that up tonight with another 100 point loss. We learned nothing when we played to GWS for the second time this year. We learned nothing when we played the Bulldogs for the second time. We will have learned nothing from our loss to Norf, that'll be abundantly clear next week.
  5. Meanwhile, on 7, one of the games of the year. Hawks back within 2 points.
  6. Probably yes, but countless equivalent infractions against us go completely ignored. It's pathetic the armchair ride some teams get. Hawks getting raped as well tonight because the umps protect Geelong at all costs.
  7. 21 free kicks West Coast. 9 to Melbourne. [censored] this. I'm over this team, this game, these players, these rules. It's a [censored] pathetic joke.
  8. Oh dear.. Frawley might have injured himself despite his best endeavours to avid physical contact for the last 3 months.
  9. West Coast players acting like this is a training drill. Darling kicks his 3rd in the first quarter and doesn't even need to celebrate, just wipes the sweat off his face.
  10. We're pathetic. Our forward structure is awful, we aren't running, nobody can make or receive simple handballs, and nobody knows how to mark the [censored] ball. We will be scoreless, just like round 2 when we last played them.
  11. This kid is exactly what we need right now. What an absolute gift from the footy gods. Third round would be an absolute steal, so all depends on whether a team would plunge their first round pick on him.
  12. Kelly gives away a braindead 50m penalty for running through the mark, setting up Colonwood's last minute game winning goal. I'll take Tyson thanks!
  13. Getting ugly for Colonwood. I think I'll be sick if GWS notch up 6 wins for the year after being such a pathetic basketcase for most of it.
  14. The sooner ASADA send this bunch of drug cheats into decades of pain, the better.
  15. Well, at the time many posters here were clamoring to have him made vice-captain as a means of enticing him to stay. Might have been a ploy from the coaching group to force his hand and commit to the team. Clearly means jack, and in hindsight was a horrible, horrible mistake. When your team's "leaders" are showing such poor commitment to the club and to the cause, it's no wonder we're a basketcase.
  16. Free Agency was introduced because of pressure from the AFLPA. The AFL, if I'm correct, held off as long as they could until the pressure became too large. I'm sure they knew what would happen, and are completely unsurprised seeing the results of FA after only a few years. Get used to the top 4, because it won't be changing anytime soon.
  17. Agreed. If that were factored in, we'd be forced to hand over pick #2 as compensation to whichever team takes him.
  18. Thank god we beat Carlton then. I like watching Port play, but part of me is infuriated watching teams bottom out and skyrocket up the ladder so quickly while we continue to rot year in, year out.
  19. The faster Chip ****s off, the stronger our culture will be. Got no time for him and it's incredulous that Roos didn't drop him weeks ago. He's mentally checked out and has been for months. You can't have someone in the leadership group who isn't committed to the club. It sends an appalling message to everyone in the team about our culture.
  20. Just to echo the above, pretty confident the only reason Roos has floated pick 2 and not the compo Frawley pick is just because he can't talk about that as a fait accompli as yet. But make no mistake, if we end up with picks 2 and 3 I'm confident we'll trade one and keep the other, especially if we get an end of first round PP to trade as well. Depends how the club rates Petracca I guess.
  21. Collingwood are keen on Petracca, and given what's happened to them over the weekend I can easily see them trading a Beams type in exchange for pick 2.
  22. This is going to get ugly, and the trade period is going to be a mess. I think Roos will be absolutely lethal. Wouldn't be surprised if he delists 6 and replaces them with offcuts from other clubs, and trades 10 others (picks and players alike). If he feels the list is irrepairably scarred he will be ready to hit the reset button, and I'd imagine part of this priority pick submission includes a guarantee to trade for established players so other teams can "win" out by offloading some older talent in exchange for an early second round pick. Probably will also refer to the Clark situation (his return was a reason for denying a PP last year), and the diluting of talent in the draft over the expansion club era. Not to mention all the free agents bailing from our club every single year. Plus, didn't our last PP go to Scully whom we lost to the expansion clubs? I think an end of first rounder and end of second rounder, with a guarantee to trade out all our players and avoid the draft, will be looked upon much more favorably.
