Funny how all this talk about "equalization" (absolute burocratic rubbish as far as I can tell) only began after the introduction of free agency. The AFL, and the players association, knew exactly what would happen once players could choose which club they belonged to. "Equalization" is just another pathetic smokescreen by the AFL to give hope to supporters of clubs who, realistically, won't be anywhere near the top 4 for half a decade. They know the consequences for the code are dire if fans realize this, hence the smoke screen. All the rubbish policies they've introduced will do nothing to help clubs like us. They just have to give the illusion that it's an equal competition, but fixturing, the draft, academies, COLA, etc. proves otherwise.

They're about even but some of the crap they've gifted North have given them minimum 2 goals. Can't they just put the whistle away like the final quarter of Swans v Richmond? So many unpaid free kicks inside 50 for both teams but at least it's consistent.

Another really beautiful passage of attacking play and a deserved free kick to Fitzpatrick. Showing much more offensive play tonight and doing a better job setting up scoring opportunities, even if they're not reaching fruition. Encouraging.

That was the best passage of play we've had since the end of the Essendon match. Who knew you could get inside 50 when you play on and play attacking footy for a change instead of holding the ball up constantly. And lo and behold it results in a beautiful goal from Vince. I [censored] love you Bernie.

So that's 2 of North's goals as gifts from the umps. Not one free kick to us yet, naturally. And of course the other goal for Ziebell was an unpaid hands in the back to Dunn. Thanks umps!

Good to see Bail firing after his contract renewal. [censored] umps. Those frees are ignored for any other team, but oh no, not us.
