  1. When it means Hawthorn will have the easiest possible three-peat victory imaginable, it makes my blood boil. They would've laughed their asses off if you told them a month ago they could line up in the GF against the worst finalist in the 8.
  2. I'm going to be sick if they make the Grand Final. Two teams I despise playing next week, worst case scenario.
  3. North got their only goal from a pathetic free kick which was from a North player basically staging. Pathetic.
  4. Would want their third rounder back to trade for Melksham. Should be late 30's.
  5. If he can clean up his kicking he'll be valuable for them in a Travis Cloke kind of way. He did kick 4 goals in their last final IIRC.
  6. So will tonight's winning margin by the Eagles be 2 or 3 figures? I'm going with 3.
  7. He doesn't do himself any favours with the long greasy hair and moustache. I mean, really kid. At least try.
  8. He still has one match left to cost them a premiership. Please, football Gods, make it happen. Dropped defensive mark in the dying seconds followed by Josh Kennedy goal to win the match for the Eagles.
  9. He looks so natural with the ball in hand. Anyway, how about that Milkshake chap?
  10. Only because we were embarrassingly inaccurate. We lost that game, they didn't beat us as such (if that makes sense). I'm not in denial!
  11. Well, except their once-in-a-generation future key power forward.
  12. The AFL need to stop drinking their own bathwater and admit that expansion has had a tumultuous and long-term effect on the viability of this, now, 18 team competition. The dilution of young talent to only two clubs has upset the natural order of the draft and thus prolonged the ability for teams like Hawthorn to maintain their position at the top. If you distributed the lists of GWS and GC to the bottom 8 clubs, the competition would be radically different today.
  13. Essendrug are certainly doing a good job stealth rebuilding their list by turfing out WADA infected players every year. Not sure the likes of Gwilt, Cooney and Chapman are sending them in the right direction though.
  14. The salary cap could jump by up to 50% at the start of the next bargaining agreement (2017 I think).
  15. It's the only amusement I took away from tonight's result. For all the woe we've suffered, at least Ross Lyon isn't trying to get us a premiership. A futile exercise.
  16. The only blokes with currency we seem to let go are the ones we know we'll get a better return for. Has proven true for 2 years in a row now.
  17. In a perfect world it would. Nonetheless, he's nominated the Cats (as was inexplicably accidentally revealed tonight on Fox), so the only way he gets to the Dees is if he's had some kind of identity crisis and decides to renege on his agreement. Call me crazy, but I'm not sure many other clubs would match our offer.
  18. Sorry to break it to you, but the "matching contract" requirement of RFA's is for the entirety of a contract, not just the first year. So even if it was a $5M first year and $1 for each remaining year, all Adelaide have to do is match the total sum of the entire contract.
  19. That's... a stretch. He was the whipping boy of the Bombers long before asking for a trade.
  20. You forgot the [censored] broadcasters and [censored] commentators. The commentary desk needed to be replaced tonight after Bruce had an... accident ... during one of Cyril's goals.
  21. Roughead for a priority pick has probably helped them.
  22. I'll be rooting for the Eagles next week, for sure. Sick to death of the arrogance of my Hawks supporting friends.
  23. North will get shat on tomorrow, nothing surer. They are pretenders and were lucky to face another, frankly, pretending team in Richmond then a remarkably flat Sydney (missing their 4 best players to boot). The way they've carried on all week is frankly laughable. The way they are parading themselves around as if they actually stand a chance is laughable. If, by some miracle, West Coast find a way to lose tomorrow, next Saturday will feature the single biggest winning margin in a grand final the game has ever seen. As for Hawthorn, 5 Grand Finals in 8 years. There's something very, very wrong with the state of the game if AFL HQ actually have the gall to come out and say "the competition has never been more even!" at any point in the next 6 months.
  24. Hawks into another Grand Final. Yawn. You're doing a great job with equalisation, AFL. Free agency is a huge success!
