Looks like D'Land is getting in earlier and earlier on the obscure players to draft or trade this year it always amazes me how even the most mediocre player suddenly becomes a "superstar" come trade week

I've noticed Watts sometimes leads too early for the ball carrier to really set and deliver which then either finds him too close to the kicker, out of position or cut off by defenders who have covered him its just as important for the forward to pick and time their leads as it is for the other player to deliver. that said there were a lot of stupid decisions made today all over the ground

To his credit the kid did show some fight late with a good spoil and then fought it out on the ground two on one until help arrived and we cleared it. he'll be better for the run and like any key tall, forward or back, just needs time and experience

Was always all for the woman's comp after seeing the first Dees and Dogs game but after seeing it today I think afl under 19s would be money better spent. the talent pool is already too diluted with all the other teams fielding woman's teams. The WA clubs played an expo game this year, Brisbane, dogs, and Dees. Not sure if there has been any SA teams yet. the first couple of woman's games were the best playing the best. Today just looked like who ever could kick the ball got a game.

I'd pay good money to watch you try

At least Dawes halving a contest and bringing the ball to the deck is better then Garland and McDonald getting out marked one on one. The most important thing for a key defender to do is nullify a key forward. He would still be handy when the ball is on the ground. McDonald only seems to take a grab as 3rd man up, he useless in a wrestle. i think Dawes could be a good full back but this zone defence would still make it hard

Get Chris Dawes down back. we know he can't mark up forward but he also doesn't get out marked.
