  1. Rawlings was speaking at the Redlegs at the St Kilda game and said he thought Osker Baker was not yet ready to take the next step. I'm looking forward to see how he takes to the big league. So for me Stretch(would like to see him given the opportunity of a block of games to show his worth), Garlett(spark around the goals - do not think that he is the type of player that is going to make his mark in the 2's), Frost(big body defender and has a bit of speed) and Spargo(just love the way this kid applies himself)
  2. I wonder how many clubs do put in an official "please explain" over the course of the season? And if and when they do, why don't they communicate this to the masses to show that they also agree with state of umpiring of the game. No one has the balls in the commentary field or in club land to take this issue on, probably fearful of fines and banishment by the AFL. The AFL would most likely suppress the knowledge of such instances to protect their precious brand. We lost today because we played poorly, and the state of umpiring of AFL in not in good hands.
  3. Pity that there is no mid session draft we could get rid of some of these under achievers, but yet again who would have them. Just so disappointing.
  4. The sauce to mustard differential may give us a clearer understanding
  5. Another opportunity lost, and will continue to miss out on others until we get some A grade players into the side with the polish and finishing skills to make an impact.
  6. I'll take the credit for that one.
  7. 24 goals and Hoges hasn,t kicked one. How about that.
  8. My email is on the way. As a 20 year Redlegs member I am disappointed and angry about this scant regard to the clubs membership base. Queens birthday is a marque day for Melbourne supporters and my family and mates have missed few of these occasions over the years and having a facility that I have paid for taken away is just wrong. What annoys me more is the lack of communication to members of this decision. Good leadership at this club would ensure that all the premium members are notified by mail or email about the change (not just the few that were in the room at the time of the announcement)and how the club will accomodate the needs of its members on matchday. Also does this mean that the value of memberships will be further devalued with further occasions of the loss of member facilities. There is something wrong with a club that cannot deliver on its basic promoted services to its membership base.
  9. I would be adding any player that was involved in the "not going to the camp fiasco". They are just adding to the often exposed soft underbelly of this club. Do not care who they are just get rid of them.
  10. Lewis was speaking in the Redlegs room tonight and indicated that he would be ready to play this coming week.
  11. Agree totally I think we are dreaming if we think that we are going to play finals this year. It is evident that we have not got the quality players with the skill, speed and ticker to make a dramatic improvement. A least we kicked a goal in every quarter - Hooray.
  12. Is it possible a smokey like Balic may be given an opportunity. Other than kicking a bag of goals a few weeks ago I do not know much about him. What sort of footballer is he? Has he any speed?
  13. We are our own worst ememies. Well said. Lets not expect the players to turn up on the day and blame the supporters. Accountability is a key to all successful sporting organisations and someone needs to stand up and say, "this is not good enough". Well today, as a paid up supporter this was was not an acceptable performance. 54 years is not ACCEPTABLE. Hopefully the football department and board acknowledges this through action.
  14. If this continues it will make me look back on Neeld's time with fondness.
  15. How may times has Max tapped to a hawks player??
  16. Think it is time for a name change. Have not seen the MFC play like demons and should revert to the Fuchsia's. The upside would be a possible sponsorship deal with a fertiliser company or two. A good fit for we seem to be up to our neck in it most times.
  17. You can not tell me that Hawks are leading through their own good play. Five goals down to inept football in the back half. Not only Lever, but poor decision making is killing this football club.Obviously most of the players grew up in the drought, for they do not know what to do with a wet slippery ball. Hopefully Goodwin rips into them at half time. Not confident of a win at all.
  18. What? Only finish on top. Poor prediction. What about the flag???
  19. Now thats the type of Petracca-ed contract signing I like to see. Its a beautiful thing...
  20. Good work Dees and welcome Jake. The surprised for me was that it didn't drag out to next week. Makes me think that Mahoney and Co may have something else brewing and had to tidy up Levers deals first.
  21. Did Lever get any votes in the cows B&F or did they delete his name from the count???
  22. Crows leadership group thinking about unsigned players & next year and not on the current finals series how can the coach let this happen. I wonder what his ex team-mates think individually about the bagging he is getting. There is an almighty stink about this Adelaide culture and I reckon Cameron and a number of others will be looking over their shoulders and thinking I do not want to be here. They say one of Lever's traits is that he is a good decision maker!!! I wouldn't disagree.
