  1. he's a ruckman, not a defender. Holland does better than most against the big bodies and Rivers / Frawley are able to take the agile Pavlich's etc. Don't see any use for him. Hawthorns Robert Campbell and our very own Alistair Nicholson is a good example of why ruckmen don't make good backmen.
  2. i won't be able to play due to cricket, however my mate Cribbes (6ft 9) or something like that has just called me saying he is keen to play. His a ruckman. He also says a few mates of his a keen. So that is Cribbes (ruck) Cribbes mate (wherever) Cribbes other mate (wherever) Cribbes other other mate (wherever)
  3. The memberships are run by the clubs from within the clubs office. However, AFL Membership, Bulldogs, St Kilda, Kangaroos and Melbourne base their processing of memberships, card printing and call centres now at AFL House. Each have their own goals, but work similarly in the same environment. I beleive this makes the process a fair bit cheaper as they share a card printing machine, printers etc. Also, they hire lots of young trainees, and they are cheap.
  4. well its a fair question isn't it? He has been in charge of building our list for so many years, but we've never been in a force, and we still don't look like threatening for the flag for years to come.
  5. Why name on jumpers will never happen - Football Record
  6. i wanna go back to the 2000 QF now! Very good vid by the way!
  7. dont mean to [censored], but Collingwood get to have their reserves play before them some games at MCG.
  8. if only optimism won us games, we would be premiers every year. at the end of the day, we have some good kids coming through, but so do every other club
  9. use this link http://melbournefc.com.au/Season2007/News/...px?newsId=52891
  10. If you reside 'within 180 km' of melbourne CBD it costs no extra. IF you are outside of that 180km distance, then it costs you an extra rate.
  11. in fairness, what did you expect the answer to be?
  12. so... no more magazines? im sure posters from this site and demonology could write some damn good articles. Also give them the chance to meet the players through interviews and bring the club and its supporters closer.
  13. keep an eye on that BBP. Port Adelaide didn't want to do that last year, and the AFL had to fight to keep it. Look into the new brochure when you get it to make sure it is still happening. AFL members had Freo home games up until last year aswell, until Freo pulled the plug
  14. If your a 'FULL Member' and you reside more than 180km from the Melbourne CBD,then you get a discounted rate of $322. inseated of $395 (2006/7 prices). But you can get it for $213 if you dont chose club support. (you will only get into the MCG and TD. ( maybe Aami stadium. depending on the new arrangements)
  15. i'm expecting that you will get a response like that...
  16. it is an AFL Membership. Not a Melbourne Membership. The AFL Membership entitles you to 40 games of football at the MCG and Telstra Dome, Also provides access to matches at Telstra Stadium. If you have the club support of one of the interstate teams, then you will get access to interstate venues through the clubs seating allocation. As an AFL Member with Melbourne Club support, you are able to get tickets to interstate venues through the MFC at the normal rate. Also as an AFL Member you get access to any finals match played in Melbourne, whether it be by just paying the nominated booking fee, or by turning up on the day for F.O.C entry (subject to capacity of course) In fact, AFL Membership didn't even offer club support until 1992. When the AFL decided that clubs could benefit from AFL Membership aswell. (The price of an adult 11 game membership is given to the club). In the end, you have purchased an AFL Membership, and you have the opportunity to see the same amount of games as a Collingwood supporter would. You may just choose not to.
  17. Well done Rollo. I'll come down and bring that ruckmen next game. I play footy with Ilzy from Saintsational. He's not bad. It sounds like that bloke 'Onur' didn't play for them. He dominated last time. We'll win it back next game!
  18. 1 thing that will save Miller 16 Marks in a final!
  19. Whymann from Kangaroos...well for PSD or late national draft pick at least! He was a rookie for kangas but got de-listed. Can play
  20. hey. yeh cribbes the clumsy oaf hurt his ankle at parklife. so he wont be playing.
  21. Just like saying you would prefer 1 lump of coal instead of 2
