  1. Trades sent your way Scarlett and High Tower
  2. I don't know about Snomed but I personally can only view this website at certain times. I did reply in the Ultimate Footy website not realising that debate that had started here. In the end its just a game so I'll get over it.
  3. I can now see why people can get over this by round 10
  4. Green - Slowing down already Jones - Constantly flat footed Bartram - Does his job Watts – Great pack mark Bennell – Soft as butter Frawley – Welcome back chip Trengove – Pressure to much Sylvia – Led by example Dunn – Too one dimentional Petterd – Lairising cost team Grimes – Forgotten how to kick Garland – Was very good Moloney – Needs more tricks Jurrah – Believing own hype Rivers – Great defensive game Martin – Our Leigh Brown Tapscott – An absolute gem Davey – Terrific I thought Jetta – Missing targets, costly Maric – Not good enough Jamar – Mauled, needed help Bail – Continues to surprise
  5. Going on Dappa Dan's rants recently he should have no problem accepting my offer of Ash McGrath for Shaun McKernan. McKernan has a projected ranking of 383 while McGraths is 328. McGrath has played every game this season why McKernan has only played 1. Add to this, his starting defender, Crameri hurt his knee and couldn't complete the match so McGrath should slot straight into his backline. I should expect this trade to be accepted sometime today, right?
  6. And who makes these rankings? Robbie Gray is a gun young player who has struggled to string games together. Coz of this I recon his ranking is lower than it should be. Ryders is higher than it should be because he has shouldered more ruck in recent years due to Hille being injured. Grimes is a perfect example of this. He has played only 26 games and is perfect for this game. Gray falls exactly into this category. And Ryder is a ruck and ruck only! So there is no benefit of me playing him in the forward line and getting two ruck scores. I'm basically giving up the win in the ruck because he will never be a 30 hitout player. Actually now I think about it, it seems I was being ripped off by this trade.
  7. Four goals to Gray today surely would have helped Snomed, while I'd love Ryders hit-outs and general points tomorrow...I guess I'm winning out of this at the moment.
  8. We can wait. Evans for me.
  9. I actually like Jetta but I think Banfield will play close to goals... I need some goal kickers. Also, I just like trading.
  10. Sorry that was me. I clicked it by accident. No less than a second later I was pounding the cancel button. Sylvia isn't going anywhere.
  11. Just offered you Vickery. Forward/Ruck who dominated on the weekend.
  12. HA. Was just trying the trade feature. I like it. Will propose something 'realistic' soon i think
  13. It will be interesting to see whos side impresses early. We've all taken very different types of strategies. Heres mine. What ya think my chances are? Backs - Tuck (B/C), Broughton, Gibbs (B/C), Salopek (B/C), Richardson, Fisher, Mids - Corey, Armitage, Vince, B.Martin, Harris Rucks - Goldstein, Vickery Forwards - Sylvia (F/C), Gray, (F/C), A.Walker, L.Jetta (F/C), Davenport (F/C), McQualter, Collins (F/C), Gumlbeton Another genuine mid could go alright, however I think Tuck and Corey can hold up well.
  14. Backs - Broughton, Gibbs, Fisher Mids - S.Tuck, Corey Rucks - Goldstein Forwards - Sylvia There looks to be some solid teams being built so far.
  15. I had my sights set on Sandilands. Pretty shattered to miss out
  16. Any draft leaks like the real thing? Could help me shape my pics...
  17. Bail was great. Covers so much ground which I don't think you can see on the TV. At one stage we had a break away and had numbers around Bail as he ran down the wing. It should have resulted in a goal, however Bail missed the leading forward target by about 30 metres. He came off the ground immediately and was pretty down on himself. I do see him as best 22 as he will still be running deep into the final quarter.
  18. Were you sitting behind us, behind the bench? Sorry we didn't say good bye. We went to the TAB and just decided to leave. Next AAMI game we go to I'll keep a look out for you.
  19. So the girlfriend and I made the 9 hour drive to Adelaide on Friday. Although most couldn't understand why we would do such a thing, it was a great day/night with a great result. In other threads people have mentioned the poor crowd. Indeed it was poor. It was extremely quiet throughout both Demon's games. As one of the only people in the crowd wearing a Demon's scarf a few other Dees fans sat with us which was nice. A nice lady who was on her own was great company (sorry we forgot to say goodbye when we left), as well as the family of South Australian, Melbourne fans who sat behind us. Connelly was on the P.A before the game and implored the Crows fans to cheer against Port when we played them and vice versa. It didn't really help as the crowd was pretty quiet whenever we kicked a goal etc. Seeing the players close up I was impressed with their size and strength. You could see great definition in guys like Watts, Nicholson and even Jurrah. Bate also looked alot stronger throughout his body, which also impressed me. On the new interchange rule, I cant see a way that we can only play Jamar plus a substitute ruckman. So many times he pushed hard deep into defense to created a contest and then had to push just as hard offensively. He will be worn out by quarter time. Just to add a little pessimism to it all, although we won both games and looked exciting in doing so, we could have just as easily lost both had the opposition kicked straighter. We started slow in both games and will need to improve on that. A quick player summary Watts - Did very well, loved his contested mark. Too often calls for the ball running backwards with no idea what is behind him. Luckily they ignore him when he does this. Bate - Stronger, fitter and took overhead/contested marks. Great second game in particular Bennell - I'm not a fan, BUT his sticky hands and pace could be a great asset. Trengove - Smart footballer. So often he was in the right place. Used the ball pretty well i thought too. Maric - Got more game time than most in the first game and was impressive. Looks like there will be tough competition for a forward spot this year. Garland - Was sensational. The opposition tall forwards sometimes got free but he was basically by himself back there. Cook - Looked to have so much time and a quick thinker. Not the slowest either. Moloney - Looked slow, missed a few targets. Not great. Rivers - Like Garland, did well. Strong marker and was loud on the field. Martin - Bloody quick and I wouldn't be upset if he rucked with Jamar. Evans - Loved his first game. Quick and ball magnet. Nicholson - Got cleaned up hard and wanted to stay down but he quickly jumped to his feet despite obviously hurting. Then attempted to take the game on and run through the Port defence. BIG +++ Howe - didn't do much but broke a few packs open. Liked this aspect of his game. Dean Bailey is now my favourite ever Dees coach. Love how he speaks to and 'teaches' the players as they come off the field. And although it was only a NAB Cup game, his competitiveness was on show when after losing a centre clearance he smashed the interchange bench which resulted in a large thud. He did the twice which I loved. On the centre clearances, did the tv show why we gave away so many free kicks here? I counted 3-4 of the first 5 resulting in Crows free kicks. Oh, and Tom McNamara? He got absolutely pantsed at nearlly every contest. On this performance I am not happy he is on our rookie list again.
  20. I'm most likely heading down. Make a bit of a road trip about it as we'll have the whole weekend to do whatever after the match. Hopefully the crowd are ferals. That just gets me going
  21. By the way, thanks for all the updates on training. It's great to still feel involved even in the off season.
  22. Here's a smokey for captain, and a very unlikely one at that. Tom Scully. Been a leader throughout his juniors, will be a 15 year player, is already a leader on the training track (from all reports). Kernahan, Carey, Boyd were all thrown the captaincy very early on and thrived. He may be only 19 and has a lot to learn still but I could think of worse captains in the AFL at the moment.
  23. I think you'll find the system processes each payment individually and not as a family. It may not have a way of knowing that the memberships are being paid together. Maybe it's a flaw (intended or not) in the payment system. Do you pay one payment for the family membership or pay an individual price for each? If you are paying for each then I think that is why.
