Well I got the feeling from who I was talking to that a deal for Pestia wasn't as likely, at least not while he was contracted. Though, now thinking back on it he was saying we were heavily into both O'Meara and Prestia and the deal he was talking about was the Howe + something/someone else that was/is still being negotiated. I highly doubt we'd come close to getting two of GCs young, talented mids - let alone one but I'm not giving up the idea. GC would be stupid to let go of those blokes though, even for Howe+Watts or Dawes+First Round.

I should mention; the reason I thought this was noteworthy was that he said Jeremy Howe to Gold Coast would be part of the deal and the clubs were just negotiating what else was required to get it done.

If McCartin is going at 1 and Petracca at 2 why would it matter as we want Brayshaw at 3? I feel it is very unlikely we'll get Shiel or Mitchell. GWS wouldn't see Petracca as > Shiel - Shiel is a performing gun that they can build a team around. Mitchell would be difficult to pry away from Sydney - all I hear is they rate him very highly and he is a big party of their future. Sloan I feel unlikely but not out of the realms of possibility if they're into Trenners. Tex I'm not sure on. For mine I think it's more likely we'll pick up Toby Greene with 12 if we trade Trenners to Richmond. Dream world would be 2,3, 12 and 23 (no way I give up Trenners and 23 for 12) for a disillusioned Tex, Sloane and Danger. ( I can dream )

I don't understand the hate on Howe from Demonland posters. He's an amazing mark of the ball, decent kick with a turn of speed - he does need to take a second after he marks before giving it off but he's genuinely talented.

He has had a more consistent season than pendles in my opinion. Pendlebury has had some stand out games but looking at the season as a whole beams is probably just behind him as Collingwoods best player in 2014. Edit: whole is spelt with a w...

Few things guys, beams is an amazingly good player. He is worth giving up pick 3 for. Edit: Collingwood did not want him to leave. Wouldn't touch him unless we could get his brother down from Brisbane.
