  1. A lot of so called experts tipping us to finish last now. I am concerned. I really was positive until the Essendon game. We looked like [censored]!
  2. Negatives: Matt jones Rohan Bail Dom Tyson being caught with it all night Hogan looking like he is way off, fumbling, dropping marks and falling over Positives: Lumumba Garlett Watts. That's about it
  3. Guys I was furious earlier. I left then ground swearing and abusive. The saddest part is all our good players were recruits and our skipper. We were clearly sticking to the gameplan and not worries about what they were doing. The constant passing backwards by hand gave me the shits..we put ourselves under unnecessary pressure. Don't do it!!! Why oh why. Hogan needs to back himself. He demands the footy. Good on ya son. But when you are 52 out load up and kick naturally and drill it. Viney, well that kick was unforgivable . Matt jones stuff. Why oh why would you look to switch. Straight down the line, wide and long. It was a shocker! Garlett and h are revalations The umps didnt help. It's is like watching netball. Watching van den Brgs spoil in the last that was all ball was cringe , if that is the way the AFL are going then I will switch off. Rd 1 better be better. One last chance from me. 26 year memeber. Sick of being embarrassed
  4. I went. Good turnout. Kids love Luna park. Roosy got up, spoke about how each player has improved over the offseason from Crossy to the kids. Was happy with 2.5 quarters yesterday, will have to look at what happened after that. Players were introduced. There was no singing of the song as the team has stated it will only sing the song after a win. Found that interesting. If I have one knock on family day it would be the player presentation. It's very lacklustre. It is a result of the layout of Luna park. They should announce it over a pa
  5. Sorry guys, never been a basher, but toumpas is a dud, nah I have had ten beers, he is not a dud, but his cracking under pressure and useless foot skills cannot be tolerated at afl level. He had heaps of it today but every time he thinks he [censored] up.
  6. Just a heads up, I am MFC/MCC member and when I tried to buy members tickets for today it said not bald for this event after entering my barcode. Fair enough , as I don't get access to games with my membership. Just thought I would share in case other MFC/MCC members were planning on presenting membership card at the gate. You may not get in. Although in my experience that membership has always got me free access to NAB cup games, or at least it did at Princes Park when we played essendon two years ago or so
  7. There is an article posted by SEN 1116 that refers to The Ox's comments re mitch Clark. About two days ago. Or just PM me and I will give you the gist
  8. You will have to read through the 752 comments mate, but you'll find it. The same story about the real situation is circling, it's either the most accurate and unwavering Chinese whisper of all time based on a rumour or is true given that so many unrelated people have the same version of events
  9. Yeah the Good Doctor seems to have gone quiet?? Where art thou Doc? Pays to check the year of publication of things you read on the net.
  10. Guys I am on the ticket master site and there is no option to pre purchase a members ticket. Am I blind or is there a trick to it? If anyone has got themselves a members pre purchase ticket, please enlighten me
  11. and further Doc - In Victoria, truth (technically, “justification”) has always been a complete defence to a defamation action. However, it is necessary for the defendant to prove that the imputation complained of were true; the plaintiff does not have to prove they were false. Further, the defendant must prove that the imputations conveyed by the words (not simply the words themselves) are true. Thus, using our example, the defendant would need to prove that the imputation that Mr X was a bigamist is true. It would not be enough to simply prove that the words used (i.e. That Mr X got married last Sunday) were true. Prior to the enactment of the uniform law (see “What is defamation?”, above), it was also necessary for a defendant in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania and the ACT to prove that the publication related to a matter of public interest or public benefit. Under the uniform defamation laws, truth alone is a defence. So I am glad your knowledge is current you goose
  12. No I work in Commercial Lit, if the Law was so founded regarding Defamation on Internet sites there would be a plethora of case law to support your view, sadly there isn't and its not uniform. The defence you refer to refers to as being truth is not a defence is outdated I believe. In 2006 all states adopted Unifom Defamation Laws which included 'Truth' as a defence. Clause 91 of schedule 5 of the Broadcasting Services Act 1992 (Cth) (“BSA”) prevents internet content hosts and internet service providers from being held liable for defamation in respect of material transmitted using an internet carriage service, provided the internet content host or service provider was not aware of the nature of the material. The BSA provides that an internet content host or service provider is not required to make enquiries about or keep records of internet content. This exemption from liability does not apply to information transmitted by email or broadcasting (see Chapter 10.4: Internet Law, for more information). Pretty easy to ensure that the site owner isn't liable Doc
  13. Judge would look at the readership of this page and conclude that the majority are Victorian. I am not here to debate the law mate, I do that for a living. I will refrain from posting anything that might land this site in trouble, but there is an elephant in the room and it will be seen soon enough
  14. Since demon land want to moderate the truth being told on here, in fear of defamation about what Clark actually did, I suggest you all go read some of the comments on Facebook on Fox Footys and SEN's pages. The truth is out there. The truth is leaking and soon people will know the real story and no one will have any sympathy for the turd. I even had a Hawthorn supporter who is in the footy industry friend text me last night saying "you do know mitch Clark did X to X and that his X almost X'd so he played the depression card and X took him back." As I said before, defamation only succeeds as an action in law if there is no truth to the comments.
  15. I am surprised that when Melbourne released Clark from his contract they did not include a 'competitor clause' . Standard in most employment contracts. I know that things would be different in AFL and under the AFLPA"s Agreement, but given the fact that release was a separate contract to the employment contract I think the MFC could have protected itself by restricting Clark from un-retiring and moving to a rival club
  16. Nah just reckon jones is a better judge of character or could have talked mitch into staying. There is more to the story I am certain.
  17. What annoys me most about Clark is that Nathan Jones is still his friend
  18. All that merch is the generic AFL licenced rubbish. Better off looking at The Demon Shop New Balance range. Leaps and Bounds better than the stuff posted here
  19. Don't be a smart arse .. despite what our generation is used to or views as normal, there is an older generation that don't shop online or by telephone. There is a clear fear of giving card details over the phone etc. They prefer to purchase face to face.
  20. Yreah coz we don't have any older supporters that wouldn't know how to use the internet do we? We are a youthful bunch of new supporters. ridiculous. The tents out the front of the MCC on Rd1 are always packed with people. Your suggestion that just because the majority of members buy online or by phone these days is reason enough to just not bother with a members tent is ridiculous. We need every member we can get!
  21. Anyone know whether the MFC will set up a membership tent up in Ballarat on Saturday?
  22. and the sky is falling once again... why dont you elaborate a little? I mean he is walking so that is good for starters..he wasnt on crutches i take it? I have hobbled because of a blister before.
  23. Really, we all need to calm the [censored] down. The bloke is sweet. Nothing to see. Got a bad boot on top of his food, probably got a nice lump and bruise. The Doc wanted it looked at. Had it looked at. All is clear. Move on
