Some serious questions asked about Paul Roos ...
Leoncelli_36 replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
The supporters are in need of several bottles each weekend. Why in Gods name would Wines come to us? We had that chance, totally blew it. -
Bulldogs pushing for top 4! Where do we stand?
Leoncelli_36 replied to Earl Hood's topic in Melbourne Demons
I am not disagreeing for sake of the argument, but I least prefer the ball in Cross' hands over any of our players in the defensive half. He has no penetration. kicks up and unders and telegraphs every pass. he really stinks at ball use. Heart of a lion tho! -

save for the fact that Cross is used as a link man and creative half backman but has the poorest foot skills of any player in the team and constantly turns the ball over with horrible passes in the back half. Love the man and his guts, but he is just another butcher, part of our greater problem. -

This article from Roos sounds like a massive whinge. As if the supporters expect too much...http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2015-07-28/i-understand-your-frustration-roos “I get very few [emails] when we win. But when we lose, people say ‘it’s the same old, same old and we’ve seen this before etc’. It’s hard not to get affected as a coaching group" “Have we improved? Clearly we’ve improved, but has it been enough for the Melbourne supporters. Probably not on the back of the last six or seven years – [and they say] ‘here we go again, here we go again and here we go again’. We get caught up in that and that’s just the reality of it". it feels like an us against them positions and given the way he is around fans I am hardly surprised. pretty ordinary. -
Yes it's proof that they just make it up depending on which clubs they can bully. Have a look at Carlton v Collingwood or ask why hawthorn wore the dark brown vs ports black. It's a nonsense. I thought PJ had shown some backbone and stood up to the afl but clearly not.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 17

If Matt jones plays I won't bother going -

I MSGd the club on this issue over a month ago and never got a reply. We have a red clash but have not worn it once. Expect to see it vs Carlton. There is a thread that discusses this already. Look at the 'Clash Jumper' thread

I thought his kicking at goal today was good but he missed some targets further up the ground. Did some very silly things that lead to turnovers. Trying to do a bit too much. The kid will learn

Are we seeing Geelongs culture crumbling?

Mitch Clark would make a good plumber and reminds me of Wayne Carey -
Game finished at 4. They must be slow drinkers if they had a couple of beers by 12

Think about it like this, say you and your mates go out for a night on the [censored] without your wife/girlfriend. Hit a few spots and then decide to go to Kittens for a late night kick on. Do you want your mate posting photos of you at kittens looking happy on your FB or Insta? Of course you don't..coz your wife/gf will kick your star over it and assume you get a lap dance, cheated on her and have aids (none if which you did). How does that relate to the present discussion you ask? These fellas are probably. having a few quiet ones shooting the [censored]. But u post a photo post game after a loss smiling and in Hogans case, looking as tho you are about to pass out, and your wife (Paul roos or Craig Hutchison) comes across said photos, inferences will be drawn that Melbourne players don't care, get pizzedd and had a bender after losing to a VFL side. So again, don't post the [censored] on social media. That is the point
-
I didnt call him out on insta. Some fat [censored] did. People used to get up Col and Beaner for similar behaviour ya goose, what is difference here?
-
I am 31 have been on Facebook since 2006, have Instagram, twitter, blogs..what don't I 'get' about social media? I 'get' tht if you post stuff that is there for the public to see, expect to be judged. If you a sportsman and you post photos of a boozy night after a bad loss, some people are going to judge you. These young fellas are the ones tht don't 'get' social media. They view it as a popularity contest where they try to create an image of themselves and how they would like to be portrayed. They don't get social media to the point where the clubs have to give them lessons in what is /is not appropriate. They are schooled on social media.
-
So what time is acceptable for these blokes to call it quits then. It's not about having a beer, it's the fact they look like they are happy as larry with the day and not hurting from the loss.
-
Further to that, other clubs, like the GC are suspending players for boozing. So to say that all players go out on the turps is bs. Even if you do go out, don't go posting it all over social media. It's a kick in the guts to fans seeing the players with a big grin slamming pots after a pathetic loss
-
Not everyone is a highly paid athlete that needs to refrain from booze to aid recovery mate

They are all out on the [censored] at CQ. Honestly, [censored] beating by a Vfl side and they are out greeting loose. They should be having a bloody meeting come Monday and Roos should be laying into them. I don't give a stuff who they think they are, they have collectively achieved [censored] all. No wonder we are inconsistent. Heads are not in the game, clearly.
-
[censored] it. Send them to the club. Hogan looks tanked
-
I couldn't believe what I saw. Surely they have recovery tomorro and should be feeling ordinary after that loss. Is the party boy days back at the MFC. There will be those that say they are entitled to a life. Can't dwell on it. Etc etc. but it is NOT a good look having players posting happy snaps with beers in hand after a loss like that while supporters are seething and miserable. Stupid bloke even took the photo with the cricket on in the background, so if the club sees it he can't lie and say it was an oldie

You wanna make yourselves angrier than you already are? Go look at Jay Kennedy Harris' Instagram. Lovely photo golf him out on the booze with Vince post game all smiles. Petracca also with them. Reminds me of Beamer and Sylvia.
-
Bulldogs fight back to win. Like good teams to. Bloody hell I am angry tonight. The only thing that comforts me is the fact we outplayed them in every stat but the end scoreboard. However, when will this Club stand up and stop being the easy beats and laughing stock of the comp. we have no respect still . It's sad

This, this and this and more of this. They always had 1,2 or 3 over the back of the packs knowing it would spill behind. No12 Baguely had a feast! FMD
