With all this desperation from the Adelaide clubs to get Rankine and Lukosius, we'd be silly not to get involved. Obviously we need Hogan to get done, but then package up everything we have to Gold Coast for May, KK and pick 2 - for Rankine. Then Adelaide can pick up the phone in 2 years and ask us what he's worth. By then he'll have played 2 seasons and be a 2 time premiership hero. Could set ourselves up for the next 10 years, while getting everything we need now.

Would this work? Brisbane give pick 5 for Neale. Freo give pick 5 and 11 for Hogan. Freo and MFC also swap 2019 1st round picks. Melbourne give pick 5, 11, and 2019 1st round pick (from Freo) to Gold Coast. Gold Coast give MFC May, KK, and pick 2. MFC use pick 2 on Rankine. For Hogan and our 2019 pick we land May, KK and Rankine.

I didn't watch anything until the last quarter, when I felt confident the Pies would get rolled, and only just to see McChins and FIGJAM. They kept cutting to Chins all through the last quarter, but I didn't see a single shot after the game. Very disappointing. Perhaps Ed and the boys were having a group hug out the back somewhere?

If you set up properly, that clearance we all love (not) of just throwing it on the boot forward, only to be intercepted by the spare in defense, may just become a weapon. 2 talls about 40m out on 45 degree-ish angles to go pretty much one on one. It's Fritata's first year, realistically he could never have expected to play as many games as he has, and the whole year should've been about development. He's been played all over the park and the experience he's gained will be invaluable going forward. Look out next year with a full pre-season under the belt and the fire this will no doubt light in him. As disappointing as it is for him, I think it'll be the making of him. Also excited for what Smith may be ready to show us. He's always picked when he gets fit, with or without reserves form, so the footy department obviously see a lot in him. Given the improvements we've seen across the list this year, I have little doubt he'll be a star, hope he can show it all off this weekend.

Agreed. He's also eligible for a trade to Carlton as he served time at GWS prior to coming to us.
