  1. But think of the money we save in mouthguards!!!
  2. Yep, very dangerous with all the old rotting teeth all over the grounds.
  3. True. And the flip side of the coin is those 3 teams all need to play us twice. It's a great draw to test us out, but we'll need to have improved on this year to make top 4.
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Dees members need to pay to get into a Pies home game? Collingwood sells an away game membership package for games at the G. This means they are collecting revenue on what should be our ticket sales when it's our home game.
  5. This may not go down well for some but I think it's a good idea. With the Pies wanting to start alternating home games again for the QB game, how about we move 'The Big Freeze' to a game against Essendrug instead? Obviously this year as our home game to start with. Ok with you Ed?
  6. I'd also love to know exactly what Essendon did this year to be talked about in the same breath as us?
  7. In regards to the Essendon game, I would have a home game and wear our clash jumper than have it as their home game, every freaking year. It may even sell more clash jumpers for more cash, but the income that game would generate would be a massive boost. For the Collingwood QB home game, I'd be looking into what we gave up to the Pies to have it as our home game each year, and make sure whatever that was (can't recall) is also reversed. Does anyone remember 'the deal'?
  8. How would it work if 40k of the 50 were Dees members bringing their own cheese platters?
  9. I agree with you. I think this was an opportunity for the AFL to showcase an up and coming powerhouse and they've fluffed it. Wasn't the talk that Pies wanted us in round one? They can see what's happening and wanted in. Instead they've given them the Cats and we've all but missed out. The Pies will make money from their home game, will we?
  10. For real, our academy picks have to be aboriginal? Is that the same for all teams?
  11. After this year I think the Geelong match(es) will be massive. They have no choice but to either play at the G, or most likely play twice. Agree with others, we're overdue a home game Vs Essendon as well.
  12. Reckon Ross will be gone before the bye.
  13. I'll only be convinced if he changes his name to Trent.
  14. Is that the end of Neeld's legacy?
  15. By my math we won these deals by a long way. We got 400 for Hogan, and May and KK only 48. Winning!
  16. Where the hell are all the biscuit munchers?
  17. I like it, but we have a lot to do to get this thread to 400 pages in the next few minutes.
  18. Why would we throw in draft picks when we need them to fill our list?
  19. But of course they haven't said that to us because as we know they aren't interested in Hogan this year, and are no longer discussing him with us.
  20. Yep, they get bits and pieces only, similar to the Hogan trade. We still are no closer to knowing the full deal.
  21. So how many of the media experts actually got the specifics of that trade correct?
  22. Better put that away, you'll just get yourself all jacked up.
  23. Don't forget their trade value back to an Adelaide club. Both clubs are obviously desperate to land them, so you'd think they'd be looking at 2 decent first rounders in a couple of years. There's an investment aspect to it. I was hoping we'd trade down to the early picks to grab Rankine and let the Crows knock on our door in a couple of years. Ah, while you're here boys, Jakey Lever wants to say hi, twice.
