Anyone think Lynden Dunn will try his luck as a punter after his AFL career ? His few long bombs on the weekend certaintly had some height and distance on them.. Will be interesting to see if it's something he pursues.
-
How many duds? Or will it take another 3 years to get rid of them

If you were to ask me who on the list isn't up to it and is a "list clogger" I'd be going: Bail M.Jones Mckenzie Riley Toumpas (always hoped for the best but think its over) Michie Spencer Terlich -
We could have put 5 behind the ball, wouldn't of helped. Roos isn't responsible for the lack of effort from the first bounce.. Disgraceful effort by the players especially the midfield allow clearance after clearance
-
What did we get for him a pick in the 50's & 60's brisbane will get a minimum of a second rounder... Another masterstroke by old neeldy... Just like Brent Moloney was the easiest player in the comp to tag, yet racked up 35 touches against neeld.. Yes, I still hate the man

I missed all the pre season games last year... How much time do the starters usually play ? Guessing it won't be much. Looking forward to tomorrow though!
-
4 weeks out from the real stuff tomorrow.. Too early to be posting division winner predictions ? Seems the season has creeped up quickly. Super Bowl only feels like weeks ago

I'm no Matt Jones fan but he was good today.. No way he'll be dropped. Michie wasn't too bad. Lumumba should be copping the most heat but he won't. May aswell keep M.Jones & Michie in they are playing for their careers... Not sure how Salem or any of the others went at Casey though
-
Been saying it for 2 years, we need a good user of the football in the back half. Salem missing has hurt this year but i don't think he is the long term answer anyway. Costly turnovers in the back half kill us
-
Defenders were shocking today. Dunn was disgraceful, Garland had some costly turnovers, McDonald provided some run but defended poorly, Jetta easily beaten. Jones & Vince 26 tluches between them, can't win games with that. Thought Viney & Tyson battled well. Matt Jones showed a bit. Lumumba will soon find himself out of the best 22, only a matter of time. Cross showed again why he should go on. Hogan... Don't need words. Dawes best game for the year. Players didn't show up from the first bounce and that is what cost us, can't decide when you want to put in effort, from week to week and in games! The signs today were good in quarters 2 & 3. Feel better today leaving then the Brisbane win, we look like we are moving the ball better and are starting to grasp the concept of moving the ball quicker and hand balling to moving players rather than stationary. I hate North as we all do, but today we showed enough promise.
-
Look what happens when you put a bit of pressure on the opposition, especially north. They were all over the shop in that quarter mainly due to the pressuring and tackling we applied that quarter which was non existent in the 1st
-
$hits me that the players pick & choose weeks they want to have a crack and put in effort... North are a side who love time & space and that exactly what we are giving them. Can't win a centre clearance either
-
Not sure if anyone mentioned him in the post match thread or in the player of the year votes but his job on sidebottom was sensational... Think sidebottom had, had about 20 touches when cross went to him late on the 2nd term, sidebottom ended up with 26 for the game. The way his going he defintly should play on next year.

Another BOG performance... This bloke is all class, what a pick up his been. He was always a good player at Adelaide but I reckon his taken his game to another level. Can't recall too many players who have been able to shut down the oppositions best mid but still be so offensive and hit the scoreboard. Hopefully his got a few more good years left in him.. What a legend

So glad I decided to go.. Nothing better then ending the filths season!

Told myself all week since the saints game I won't be going today... As the weeks gone on started to turn to going, God help me. It's like watching a car crash, you know what's going to happen you just can't help but watch. As much as i try I can't hate or disown this club
-
Sadly I won't be going this week.. I've been week in, week out, travelled interstate numerous times but after the crap we have dished up the past 3 weeks I refuse to go. Only a couple of games during the Neeld era I refused to go... Knowing my luck we will pull off a miracle and win but if so I'll be enjoying it in my lounge room
-
Serious questions need to be asked of Clarke now, his been out of form for 18 months.. Voges isn't up to it. Atm if Rogers and Smith don't fire we don't make runs.
-
Im usually have the optimistic view of "oh well what does it matter, we aren't going to play finals anyway" but no F%#K it I've had enough of that, you know what it does fuking matter... It matters to all us supporters who go week in week out and put our hard earned towards memberships for the club and they dish this [censored] up week in week out. 12 months ago, we sat through games like this and thought "it's all part of the process, in time we will be better off" we are no better of then when Roos took over 18 months ago. I am really at the end with this football club, they show us nothing.I have a feeling Roos has given Goodwin the opportunity to add in an attacking flare and the players are now caught in between wanting to move the ball quickly and wanting to defend but are doing neither and we don't have the smarts or skill to move it quick.. Our players idea of moving it quick is to flick a handball to the closest person to them (usually stationary) and with an opponent on their tail. What happened to the attacking style we saw earlier in the year against GC then Queens birthday against collingwood and when we beat Geelong... I don't know where we go to from here

Michie the sub... Disapointing
-
Haha my bad, not used to winning more than 4 games... Clearly can't add up
-
14th actually, unless we belt the saints by a lot. This is a game we really need to win, we let the last one slip against them so the boys should be up for this one. We said at the start of this run of 3 games that we needed to be at least 2-1, we already dropped the essendon game.. To come out of this block of games 1-2 would be depressing. Saints are just as bad at the G as we are at etihad, if we don't win this game I'll be extremely pi$$ed off.

Been thinking the last few weeks as the season draws closer and I feel more excited for the season to start then any of the AFL... I don't know if it's the way AFL is played these days but I find myself almost enjoying watching the NFL rather than AFL. I think now there is so much more down/junk time in AFL that I find it boring.. At least in the NFL when you've got the downs and your always trying to get that next 10 yards that there's always something happening, even though there is a lot of stop start in the NFL I find it more exciting.. Never would have thought Id be saying I almost prefer it over AFL!!
-
Haha I'm litreally counting down the days... The pre season will atleast give us something to take an intrest in and that's only 3 weeks from today
-
Think Viv needs to be given a full game and given an opportunity to play for his spot on the list. No point making him the sub... Stretch should be the sub
-
Their midfield has me worried... Beams, Rockliff, Redden, Taylor, Rich, Zorko, Hanley, Christensen.. Runs a bit better than ours. If we break even with them then we win the game
