Nope I refuse to get my hopes up for this game. After round one I was pumped for the GWS game, after the dogs win I was up for the Port game... I think it's best to go in hoping for the worst like last week and if the impossible is pulled off its great and it's better than having you hopes crushed

This is happening at every football club in Australia from the AFL down... But in regards to the GC, they mad poor descions in who they bought to the club from the beginning.. Campbell Brown was always a bit of a lad, Karmichael turned out to be a bad influence, Gaz obviously you can't question his recruitment as his on field speaks for itself but his obviously not a good leader, seems like he would be the type to keep to himself. When you look at the path GWS went down and got blokes likes Ward, Mumford, Cornes, Power, Brogan, Jnr McDonald.. These are strong leaders and good people. Seems like they went down the right path and the on field and off field results prove it

Who knows.. I think for the first time in a long while the competetion is very even. The top sides like Fremantle, West Coast, Hawthorn, Sydney aren't bulletproof.. Then there's a log jam of 8 sides who are all middle of the road then there's sides like us, saints and to an extent brisbane who are mid to bottom but in rebuilding phase, then have carlton & essendon who really havnt bottomed out and started the rebuild phase and then the Gold Coast have their own category cos who knows where they are at! So really it's getting harder to make finals with so many teams fighting around the same spots yet easier in other ways because sides aren't as dominate as years gone by

I think Garlands been in pretty good form this year... He is a good match up for Hill or Lecras.. Not sure what the match ups would beMcDonald - Kennedy Dunn - Darling Garland - Lecras Jetta - Cripps Ideally I think McDonald is better match on Darling as he gets up the ground a bit but think Kennedy might be a bit too tall for Dunn and before people point out Hawkins is taller then Kennedy and Dunn did a good job on him, Kennedy is a strong overhead mark whereas Hawkins is more body work

It's a real tough one in Darwin wether you drop a small in Bail for Hogan or Spencer. You don't want to be too tall but in the taxing conditions you can't rely on Gawn and say Dawes.. I think part of Gawns performance on the w.e was due to the fact he got a proper rest with Spencer in the side. I don't know do you drop Dawes for Hogan ? Garland has also been cleared to play, who makes way for him ? Maybe Riley. Matt jones kick 2 goals and did a good job Enright as a defensive forward. Ins : Hogan, Garland Out: Dawes/Spencer, Bail

Seems Gamepass has gone up a bit in $$ this year ? Can't remember what I paid last year but it's $165 for every game or $129 for just your teams game, think that is more than last year. Think I'll just stick with all the Falcons games.. Find it hard to find enough time to watch one game let alone other teams... Can't believe were under 8 weeks until the first pre season hit out, although not much to get excited about, they take the pre season less serious then the AFL does

Todays epic victory @ Geelong - best win since when?
JV7 replied to What's topic in Melbourne Demons
In terms of what it means for the players, the club and supporters I think it's our best win since 2006 elimination final. While the Sydney game in 2010 was awesome it just doesn't have that same feel as today's. To beat Geelong down there is a massive step forward for this club. One win in 27 years prior to today down there.. Under manned, backs against the wall.. Still can't believe it. What a difference a week makes in footy and how much better winning feels like -
It is too.. Usually sunday 3:20 is channel 7..

Actually dreading having to watch this game, wish I didn't care so much so i could do something else. Worst thing is its on free to air and the only game on today so everyone will be watching the massacre

I haven't followed Casey close enough this year to know wether he is up to it or not. But considering Terlich was named on an extended bench 2 weeks ago means his there abouts. Although it sends shudders through me thinking of him in the side
-
Unfortunately I think Terlich will be in to replace grimes... There is no other logical replacement
-
Pedersen out for the year.. Grimes broken thumb out for 6-8 weeks according to Jon Ralph
-
We did well to have 12 shots on goal
-
Who gives a F$#K
-
Yeah he was pi$$ed but he didn't have a go at anyone.. Would have liked them to push him more on why we didn't get numbers back
-
This behind closed doors ? Because he seemed controlled at his presser

I have come to the conclusion we are never going to be a good side.. I'm that far beyond angry im literally at peace with it. It's like a seeing a family member struggle with health until they die, and once you accept it, your at peace with it. I can't take it anymore. The players choose the wrong options time and time again. They go long when they should go short, they go short when they should go long, they play on when they should go back and take their kick, they take their kick when they should play on, they handball when they should kick, they kick when they should handball, they go fast when they should go slow, they go slow when they should go fast... They do everything wrong. There is only a handful of players on this list that isn't mentally F'd up.. It includes Nathan jones. The young players such as Hogan & Brayshaw then the older ones such as Vince & Cross, apart from that their all mental issues that will never be reversed. It will take us 10 years to rid ourselves of it
-
I reckon any footballer who has played at any level would know that once you get up late in a game, you push numbers back. I reckon under 13s would know what to do. The leaders of this side need to take a good hard look at themselves, Nathan Jones was at CHF, as the captain and one of the most senior footballers on the field for us.. He had to be screaming to get back. Thought he was better than that
-
No way... You can not in 40 seconds relay a message to get players back. That is a players driven to push numbers back... This loss is %100 on the players. Roos couldn't do anything
-
The players need to have a good hard [censored] look at themselves. We are the only side in the AFL that lose that game... How the [censored] do you not put numbers behind the ball, the players are [censored].. 17 other clubs once Howe kicks that goal start pushing back. What did we do ? Not one single player went back. The skipper was at CHF just standing there, start telling people to get back FFS... This lose is %100 on the players. Just let Hogan go home, poor kid
-
Having a look through the line ups hasn't filled me with any more confidence... Saints have some A-Graders in Steven, armitage, riewoldt, montagna is still a very good footballer.. Dempster down back. They have a more even spread across the board. With the likes of ABN, stretch, Riley, Michie.. Not a lot of experience between them. Hope to be proven wrong though
-
The last 5 times I've been to this [censored] hole I vowed never to be back again especially if we lost.. Today is the last chance I give this joint
-
At the start of the year I would have penciled this in as a win.. Not so confident today. There midfield is better than ours, they have a superstar in Riewoldt who wins games off his own boot. Combine that with our long injury list.. I'm not looking forward to this because it's a game would have thought we would win if we've made any improvements

Kent was originally 10-12 weeks... Misson has said all along he has been ahead of schedule but by the time 5 weeks is up and he regains match fitness thats 8 weeks, might be back for the last 3 or 4 games
-
Tyson was better off playing a full game at Casey to gain some match fitness not as the sub.. And no Brayshaw will not be rested this week. I dare say they will be managing his workloads during the weeks anyway
