Yep, and it was their smalls and mids who did. 11 separate goal kickers. Hopefully it's not a repeat of that game. We're bad but we're not Adelaide.
-
It'll be an interesting game. It will either prove or disprove those posters who think we need to let Viney go through free agency, while also potentially showing (or not) how important having a dominant ruck man is. I think it will be close but I don't really see where their goals are going to come from, especially with May in such good form. Their smalls and mids will really need to step up.

Where are we going to get the first rounder we'd have to throw in? Pruess is worth very little, and the fact he cant get a game doesnt help

AFLW Off Season News / 2021 Preseason

O'Dea is on the move, and she's taking Maddie Guerin with her... https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/aflw/aflw-clubs-expecting-a-huge-number-of-list-changes-when-trade-period-opens/news-story/f9c8ff457e5397480eedb0fc09620da4 -
I'm all for Jacko taking it on with either Tomlinson (if he plays) or Weid/Tmac giving him the chop out. The players will have to shark O'Brien's taps regardless, and this gives us a more mobile body in the centre

Apparently the AFL have stood down Mitch Cleary after he posted Cotchin's wife's insta story on Twitter. https://mobile.twitter.com/RalphyHeraldSun/status/1289870788854611968

AFLW Off Season News / 2021 Preseason

This article explains it somewhat. Looking for an injection of youth through a supposedly strong draft. We've had a very stable list over the last few years, and that can only last so long. https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/787522/melbourne-outlines-aims-for-aflw-sign-and-trade-period -
Stafford? Can't say our goal kicking has improved

Tom Morris reporting clubs will have max three 4 day breaks. Hopefully this is 2 of ours out of the way.
-
4 day break, including travelling from Adelaide to Tassie, sucks. But gotta do what we gotta do, and I'd be disappointed if we didn't win both games
-
Most think 9 wins needed to play finals. That would get us to 7. Essendon haven't really beaten anyone of note. That'd be 8. Pinch one more and we're just about there.

What they're saying down at Glenferrie Road

Neale wasn't great this week. Still susceptible to a tag.
-
And didn't vanders give it to Stratton afterwards. We don't have too many players that do that.
-
Weitering has only just come good, and he was a number 1 draft pick. Hipwood and Curnow play as tall flankers rather than key forwards. McKay is another who is only just coming on and I think will be a good player. But these guys are only just coming into the age where they should be impacting consistently. All I'm saying is writing him off at this stage is a tad premature in my opinion.
-
Only just turned 23 as well. Anyone expecting him to play like a 26-27 year old big key forward is kidding themselves. It's time for him to show a bit, but we can't expect him to dominate. I think people see a Hogan type come straight in an dominate and expect all talks to do it. It just doesn't happen. Edit: for comparisons sake. Hawkins break out year was the year he turned 24 (2012). Until then, he had done very little (except win 2 flags of course). 18 games and 21 goals in 2010, and dropped from the seniors in 2011. I'm not saying Weid will be a Hawkins, but all but the very special big guys take time.

Only works if you are a Telstra customer or have an AFL Live pass ?

Bedford and Pruess were left behind. Source: Instagram Pretty sure Jordon is in Manly too.

How does the "If we lose to the Suns I will..." thread have more post than this thread?
-
I'm hoping Oscar in means they've given up on Lever playing on a key forward. Let him be the third tall and float/intercept Glad Bennell and Weid are back. If Weid isn't up to it, at least we'll know, but hopefully he gets some confidence and snags a few

Tomlinson, rivers, Smith and hunt out. Weid, bennell, OMac and Jetta in

Harmes? Mentioned in an interview before the game last week his best position is mid resting forward.
