Jayden Hunt set to play his first finals.
His skills have improved significantly. Gives us a really different look off half back. Loving it

I agree, Mr Howe. Ed has received exactly what he deserved

Why aren't the Bears players allowed to own a dog? Because they can't hold a lead... I'll see myself out

Shocking call. If he reached for the ball, I'd agree. Lined him up and took him out

Fading second halves
Last year we played GC, WC, Adelaide and Geelong in the final four rounds. Only one of those played finals, and we only just beat them. Things are very different this year, but maybe out fitness levels/loading isn't the problem. Maybe it's just that we are playing top 4 teams

Farewell Luke Jackson
I'm not sure why it would. There is no mechanism for us to keep him if he wants to leave.

POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
The good thing about having Gus in the middle, Harmes forward and Hunt back is they can all legitimately play in different positions. So if the backline needs Gus at any point, we can move Gus back, Harmes to the middle and Hunt can play forward.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
Interestingly, Gus was on a podcast (think it was Dyl Buckley's) where he said he suffered from an awful phobia of talking to people when he was younger. His dad used to put him in uncomfortable positions to make him have to talk to strangers (like purposefully give him the wrong change to buy a paper, ask a stranger the time, those sorts of things). Gus was pretty critical of the approach, even if it's clearly worked.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Why not? We're losing one of ours. We should be pushing for one of the Vic boys. I agree it won't be Brayshaw or Young, but I'd be pushing for Serong.

Couple of big Vic clubs haven't played in Geelong for a long time, so you could argue they haven't played a home game

Interesting Hunt comes in. We have 8 defenders, unless Gus or Riv move in to the midfield rotation

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
I'm having trouble reconciling the Gus we've seen over the last few years (heart and soul, play any role the team needs and put his body on the line) with the me, me, me Gus that's been portrayed on this thread. I'm not saying it's not true. But it just doesn't feel right to me. I still think this is a due diligence, and eventually he'll sign on. And it's up to the club to make sure they manage the cap for whoever else they need to sign

Could it be that all of May, Lever, Gawn and Jackson have been injured/ill at some point in that period? So we're either missing or below their best?
-
CHANGES: Rd 20 vs Fremantle
The podcast is often filmed before Goody's presser and the Injury report. And they aren't always up to speed on the news at the best of times

Better bring some TP for him to clean it up...

Almost as stupid as belting it indiscriminately when no one goes up against him. I love Max, but God he does some stupid things.
