I was at the game and in the previous quarters you could see the players look up at the clock and yell "Thirty seconds left" etc. The were all surprised when the siren went at 18:31. I reckon the doggies would have overrun the dees in that last 90 seconds, they had the momentum on their side. I thought it was absolute bulltish that the game had to finish right on 2.20pm so the guys had 1 hour to warm up. When they did the presentations there would have been all of 6 MFC players jogging about on the ground and there were no bulldog players out there for a full 30 minutes after the girl's siren went. It really pizzed me off

I'm heading to the game with a group of my girlfriend's team mates from the Brunswick Renegades womens team. The girls have had the Dees logo on their shorts the past 2 seasons. I'm very proud of the the support the Dees have shown which has helped the girls get on the field

I woke up at Meredith music festival a few years ago with a knee that wouldn't work and a campsite in absolute shambles. No one knows what happened but the doc sent me straight for a xray and ultrasound. The results were a medium tear, I could even see it in the xray. That was it, he told me it was torn. 4 weeks later whilst getting my back worked on by the osteo I mentioned it and she asked how the rehab was going. Rehab? Doc never mentioned it. Lots of painful rubs, lots of squats and strengthening exercises with those giant rubber band things I was back running around about 6 weeks later. Still hurt to kick around the body for many months later though

1. My old man, brainwashed all 4 kids into absolute diehards. He still proudly likes to get out my first membership card he bought for me in 1984. He also recently bought my niece one before she could walk. 2. My first was apparentlyTulip, had his number on my guernsey and badge but was so young I unfortunately don't remember watching him play. Chopper Lovell was my other, loved him, still have hopes one day he'll come back to the club in some capacity. 3. Being a country kid we used to go out and collect firewood. I remember just getting home and ready to empty the trailer and stack and we turned on the car radio, would have been about 1993ish, vs the Tiges I think. Chopper and Jakovich (my sister's fav) were going goal for goal. We stopped stacking, sat on the trailer mesmerized as they ended up with 8 apiece. Wish that game was filmed. 4. Seeing the Ox blow his knee. We were at the game, I think it was when he did it the 2nd time, as a kid seeing one of your favourite players go down is shattering. 5. My dad loved Mark 'Jacko' Jackson. My sister's 3rd word after Mum and Dad was Jacko. Allegedly when mum was out dad would stick his footy card on the fridge, pop the highchair in front and repeat Jacko and point to the card.

Ran the boundary for my girlfriend's footy team today. They had a minute's silence before the game and then all got together in a circle post match like they have been in the AFL this weekend. The opposition coach spoke one sentence. If you have a family call them tonight and tell them you love them. Something I think we should all do more regularly

Gus was in a neck brace on the news this arvo, said be was still having spasms in the neck/back. Hope the physios get him right for next weekend. I think spencil will go down this week and Fitz will be in to cover Joey D

Just heard on the radio the son has been taken for a psych evaluation after stabbing his parents. What a devastating tragedy.

I got my shoes in 3 days, they were slightly tight so I've sent them back (free return postage if they don't fit). I was at the Community Cup in Elsternwick, headlining band playing to a thousand or so punters. Me and a dozen diehards watching on an upheld phone, louder than the fans. Brilliant!
