  1. Think the difference with between Vanders and Terlich/Reilly is that Vanders offers flexibility (from the very limited footage I've seen of him). I'm willing to give Reilly time, but I think Terlich has done his dash.
  2. This may just be the most nonconstructive post in the history of Demonland
  3. Was there another McDonald running around last night that I'm not aware of??? EDIT: That is to say that he played really well last night and is critical to our set up. I'm honestly beginning to think I watched a different game based on the McDonald criticism on this site.
  4. I reckon you're pretty well on the money, will be interesting to see if Grimes/Garland do actually get there. On last nights form they shouldn't be. Loved Frost's run, bloody hell he's a unit and so quick! Agree with bing as well, if Vince is out I don't really have a problem with Michie coming in. He's definitely next up for me. Just think what we could have with Vanders. Bloke came in to the team injured, had an interrupted preseason after being on a semi-professional training program at Ainlee. Looking forward to seeing him next year!
  5. I really like this and I thought your last team was spot on, however after posting about inside mids on another thread I'm thinking we need another clearance player to start (assuming Lamumba still isn't an expert). Michie or Newton on the wing instead of Toumpas and Toumpas rotates through there and HBF?
  6. So while Stretch is seen as a good outside players, he appears to be fairly adept at getting the ball out. ANB was drafted on the basis that he was a good clearance player. VandenBerg regularly found the ball at NEAFL with many of these on the inside and Newton is also seen to be a good inside/outside option. Like you the club knows its been a weakness, and we've drafted accordingly. Will we see the benefit of that this year... mmm, maybe not given the stage of devlopment of the names I mentioned. Viney will need to step up a class this year, and Cross will need to keep father time at bay. If one of Vandenberg, Newton, or Michie (known as a good clearance specialist at Peel in 2013) can step up in 2015, then we should see a big improvement this year.
  7. Maybe they'll wait to upgrade the second rookie once the season starts. You never know how it might unfold so they might need to cover a backman so would go with White, maybe we need cover at mid so go with Harmes. Excited to assume that Vandenberg has the inside running!
  8. Sounding more and more like Watts has become a McCartney project. Everybody in football has an opinion of Watts and I doubt he is any different. Here's hoping the McCartney blowtorch in combination with the Roos touch can get the best out of Jack!
  9. Pretty close I'd say. Wouldn't mind seeing Frost in for Garland, purely because I want to see what Frost offers. Would also like to see Toumpas spend a bit of time on the wing or playing in tandem with Salem, just to see how it works. Would take Spencer off the bench and replace him with Vandenberg too, reckon the coaching staff would be pretty keen to see how he goes in a competitive game.
  10. Nice. Hopefully your post waylays some of the oncoming hyperventilation's!
  11. I'm not particularly interested in reveling in somebody's failures after committing so much of their time to a club which gave very little in return. I hope he does well.
  12. What's the downside? He was just having a friendly chat...
  13. Yep, but you could call that one of many of the previous regimes blunders.. he's a ripper.
  14. I share your excitement about Jayden Hunt.. I reckon this bloke can turn out to be a real find. Not sure if it'll necessarily be this year though, still quite lightly framed but with his pace and skill he could really light it up! Would tie him to Lamumba and hope he develops the same desire to take on the game and chance his arm.
  15. Just a case with who do you leave out with Frost.. It depends on the opposition I guess but with Dunn and McDonald we don't really need another tall and Garland has shown he can play on both. Fair call on Cross, wouldn't argue with that.
  16. Don't we already have Jetta for that role? Terlich is clearly depth.
  17. Hmmm... Just putting thoughts on paper... FB: Jetta Dunn Garland B: Lamumba McDonald Salem C: Vince Viney Kent F: Howe Dawes Watts FF: Garlett Hogan JKH Foll: Jamar Jones Tyson R: Gawn Toumpas Bail Newton/Michie/Grimes
  18. I'll wait for the real summaries.. That was a pretty ordinary effort by Burgo.
  19. Think it was very tongue in cheek TDI. Thanks for the info!
  20. Given how many people we have on the track, I really don't think we can be criticizing Misson right now. Injuries are inevitable.
  21. Ok, so if it was pushed inwards then we can rule out ACL.
  22. Well either way, there goes my afternoon... Refresh. Refresh. Refresh.
  23. Did my mcl and walked off too, but the instability was obvious. I can't believe Petracca would've exhibited those symptoms and the doctor told him to try a few turns.. Low grade maybe?
  24. If you do a level 2 or worse acl or mcl then a quick medical examination determines a rupture pretty quickly, there is a lot of instability. If the doctors checked him out and told him to try some turns I'm hopeful that it's not a complete rupture. Then again, who knows.
