  1. His comments about Goody are awesome as well, particularly the chat about how he got him to the club.
  2. Also, I'm pretty sure Weideman and Petracca know eachother well. Think they played together either at school or TAC Cup.
  3. Forgive you for having it in rather late....? Mate, you're a legend for getting it in at all!
  4. JOSH WAGNER Aspley, 21, 189cm, 80kg The older brother of Queensland under-18 player and draft hopeful Corey, Wagner could also find himself attracting AFL interest after an excellent season in the NEAFL. Having always had the skill, the 21-year-old matched it with workrate in 2015 to have greater influence coming off half-back. He's a poised left-footer who racked up big numbers and was a major reason behind Aspley's surge to the NEAFL Grand Final.
  5. Always been a supporter of Jacks, but I now think there is a realistic chance we don't see him round 1. Having said that, being down at Casey for several weeks while we are winning will surely stoke some competitive fire and I for one hope it is the making of him. If he doesn't do it this year, then he won't be delisted. He will head to another club for whatever we can get and if he got to a decent outfit, then I wouldn't be surprised to see him be quite dominant at times.
  6. Don't necessarily disagree re Dawes and Lamumba, but I still want to find a way to fit Harmes in to the side, and wouldn't be surprised to see Bugg there somewhere. While Frost is obviously most comfortable as a running Defender, I reckon they're looking at him as that 2nd resting ruck. He's tall enough, and super athletic. Where does he go/who does he replace down back if that's where they have him pegged?
  7. Lamumba was pretty underwhelming last year Stuie, as was Dawes and Pedo. I rate Harmes, and Bugg is pretty handy. Stretch maybe has a way to develop. Don't think the effort quite deserves the sarcasm, I think there's some merit to that list. Not sure about Frost being CHF, but he has oodles of potential as the resting ruck/third forward I reckon. His defensive pressure and explosiveness could be a real bonus.
  8. Geez I love how these boards go in to meltdown after the tiniest skerrick of information. I've got a mate who's been done drink driving, and I would trust him with my life. If the club liked Charlie, then I would have no problem with him at the club. If the club DOES end up drafting him, for gods sake guys please give him a chance to show who he actually is before launching in to him like you are right now.
  9. Physicality is beside the point I was trying to make. Also wasn't alluding to Jack in U18's. A Francis wants to be that Goddard type. Swings between the arcs, can play that third tall defender who takes marks and sets up play or go forward and take a grab by exploiting a mismatch as the third tall. I can remember us all talking about Jack in exactly the same way. So I think my comment of "seems that Aaron Francis would be what Jack Watts promised to be once", is accurate. Anyway, like we both said, not the foil for Jesse. Therefore I would pass.
  10. Also seems that Aaron Francis would be what Jack Watts promised to be once, not sure if he is the foil for Jesse.
  11. Just watched the footage of Darcy at home on the farm and it seems clear to me that the perfect role model would be Bernie. I was unsure on this kid because of his size, but country kids are hard, honest workers and tough as nails.
  12. I hadn't! Those highlights were really solid weren't they! Excellent hands below his kness, good vision, good decision maker, nice kick. I was already keen, but those highlights sold me.
  13. He's been given a 12 month contract? Are you sure? Do you mean a rookie contract or a full contract? I'd rookie him, but I understand his potential so wouldn't gripe too hard if its full.
  14. I would upgrade him in a heartbeat... I reckon he could really be something.
  15. Haha.. Mahoney from fl0g to god in the space of 24 hours!
  16. So so so epic!!! What a trade period!!!
  17. Callum TwomeyVerified account‏@AFL_CalTwomey Big day for the Dees, upgrading pick 10 into No.7 as part of a swap of GWS picks and maybe Tom Bugg involved too. Points system gone crazy.
  18. If this happens, then this period very quickly became very very successful! Parish + Curnow!
  19. And to me that seems Parish. One of Weideman or Curnow would've been available at 6.
  20. Middymalt, for the few years I've been on this forum I've been watching feuds erupt on a regular basis. I often think to myself, "How do these people even remember who is posting?". For the life of me, I couldn't get a grudge to stick... But your name, my malty friend, is managing to stick hard and fast.
  21. Curnow also appears a competitor.. gee whiz, who to choose?
  22. Suns apparently have a few big academy selection next year, so they can make up point with a host of lower picks = solution to Prestia next year.
