Now I do agree with you mate! Much more sensible than your 3 word analysis post. I hadn't seen these when I had a go at you. Cheers!

Hmm, all votes to midfielders/flankers and no love for the embattled defenders who did their best despite Black and co. utterly destroying the midfielders you give votes to. I can't argue with Bruce, Jones and Aussie however, and well done to Jeff White on reaching #2 on the list of most taps by a ruckman in history behind Justin Madden.

6 - Jones (Good to see who are the true leaders of the club)

5 - Green (See Jones)

4 - Ossie (great effort from limited opportunities)

3 - Frawley (4 goals against him with little support or midfield pressure - very promising performance)

2 - Bruce (only because you have to give 6 players votes. Based on qty non quality of possession)

1 - Moloney (see Bruce)

6- Jones

5- Aussie

4- Green

3- Moloney (actually hit targets instead of bombing long all the time!)

2- Bruce (disposal still pathetic)

1- Warnock (encouragement award, plus everyone else had a shocker)

Didn't see game today but it seems like Jonathan Brown didnt have a field day today any credit due to his opponent or was he just not on song or on the field much?

6 - Nathan Jones

5 - Colin Sylvia

4 - Austin Wonemarri

I think we just got lucky. He missed a couple and spent the last quarter on the bench.

6 - Nathan Jones

5 - Colin Sylvia

4 - Austin Wonemarri

What a surprise! Had you named 6 players as the others have done you might have been forced to have named Bruce. Change your name to BRUCE BASHER. That would be more appropriate. The MAGIC has gone from YZE anyway.

Obviously has an injury. Didn't run, tackle or kick the ball with any gusto.

6 - Moloney. Looked polished.

5 - Jones. Worked hard.

4 - Wonaemirri. Always dangerous

3 -Wheatley. Good by foot, as per usual. We should use him more.

2 - Sylvia. Improving...slowly.

1 - Bruce. Does it all, except use the ball effectivly.

6 - Jones - By a mile

5 - Rivers

4 - Moloney, Still think he has to fix his kicking, or at least the thinking behind it, but at least he kept trying

3 - Bruce

2 -Frawley, battled away on a much more seasoned opponent, was probably beaten but i felt when he made a mistake, he fixed it at the next contest

1 - Aussie, presented well, kicked sick goal right in front of me

2 Moloney

1 Wheatley.

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

  • PREGAME: St. Kilda

With just over two weeks until their opening match of the 2026 AFL Premiership season, the Demons are already well on the path to redemption and have the Saints firmly in their sights ahead of their mid-March clash at the MCG. What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
