If it was Miller who did it, everyone would be on him

i was up the other end. is there footage of it anywhere?

Wheelan was good pushing into the F50

With Sylvia playing well done back might be worth putting wrecker in a more midfield/ forward role.

Whelan doesn't have the fitness to play in the middle. A role reversal between him and Sylvia is a good idea.

Sylvia is much better in the backline, he actually gets his hands on the pill for a change.

Didn't see the incident as I was on the other side of the ground. Hopefully he doesn't get suspended, but even if he does, who cares... at least he is one of a handful of players who shows some anger and some heart while out on the field.

Pity Mark Jamar didn't whack Judd like I hoped... I guess falling over ones own feet and missing a goal from 10m out is all he's ever going to be known for

Whelan and Jamar make a good comedy team...shame they were supposed to be playig football!!

He played through the centre a few times today JAded, a quick 2 or 3 min burst a quarter, I noticed when he was in there he stopped carltank running it out of the square.

No one whacked Judd, no one got so much as a hold of his jumper all day. I was listening to SEN's coverage today and Luke Darcy got the opening, before the bounce 'argy bargy' exactly right. Out rushed the Dees to make a statement, to flex a bit of muscle, to show that we're fair dinkum by taking on ... Matthew Kruezer. Judd? No way. He spurned the club, slapped us in the face, turned his back on the club he supported as a kid but we decide to make a statement by going after a string bean kid playing his third or fourth game. Surely Judd should have copped a bit of aggression? Surely Judd should've been put under the pump? Darcy thought we were weak to try and pressure a rookie instead of going after a more senior player and he was right - the pre-match show of strength just highlighted how far off the pace we are right now. Our decision making today was terrible - even before the game began.

Jaded, i'll care if wheels is suspended!!! flying to brisbane next week!! haha, sad when your best forward is your best mid too. just reads the game so well and finds position

i was right there when it happened, had a good view of the whole incident, wheels wil be gone without a doubt it was big.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

From the start, Melbourne’s performance against the Gold Coast Suns at Peoples First Stadium was nothing short of a massive botch up and it came down in the first instance to poor preparation. Rather than adequately preparing the team for battle against an opponent potentially on the skids after suffering three consecutive losses, the Demons looking anything but sharp and ready to play in the opening minutes of the game. By way of contrast, the Suns demonstrated a clear sense of purpose and will to win. From the very first bounce of the ball they were back to where they left off earlier in the season in Round Three when the teams met at the MCG. They ran rings around the Demons and finished the game off with a dominant six goal final term. This time, they produced another dominant quarter to start the game, restricting Melbourne to a solitary point to lead by six goals at the first break, by which time, the game was all but over.

  • CASEY: Gold Coast

Coming off four consecutive victories and with a team filled with 17 AFL listed players, the Casey Demons took to their early morning encounter with the lowly Gold Coast Suns at People First Stadium with the swagger of a team that thought a win was inevitable. They were smashing it for the first twenty minutes of the game after Tom Fullarton booted the first two goals but they then descended into an abyss of frustrating poor form and lackadaisical effort that saw the swagger and the early arrogance disappear by quarter time when their lead was overtaken by a more intense and committed opponent. The Suns continued to apply the pressure in the second quarter and got out to a three goal lead in mid term before the Demons fought back. A late goal to the home side before the half time bell saw them ten points up at the break and another surge in the third quarter saw them comfortably up with a 23 point lead at the final break.

  • POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Gold Coast

The Demons did not come to play from the opening bounce and let the Gold Coast kick the first 5 goals of the match. They then outscored the Suns for the next 3 quarters but it was too little too late and their season is now effectively over.
