Approx. 30% of all players drafted........

Approx. 30% of all players drafted will never play an A.F.L. game. Another 30% will be lucky if they play 30 games. Therefore Congratulations Belly for making it to 50 this week against Carlton. Here's hoping the whole team lifts and has a good one.

Just Like we did for Jnr's 200th..

Well Done Belly, you deserve your spot because you work hard, I just hope that someday that will translate into a more consistant performace.

would prefer to still have Woey

would prefer to still have Woey

Yep, i would rather another slow midfeilder, just what we need..

I Like daniel Bell, and like the rest of his teammates, they are struggling for confidence.. so hang in their, and well played for 50 games!

bell was a pick 14 though wasn't he?...i'm pretty sure about 90% of injury-free draft picks in the top 20 would play an afl game

A slower, softer, older player unwanted by every team in the AFL.

I know who I prefer.

Good onya Belly

serious? what is he now? like 32? 33? belly has 10 years ahead of him. if we had woey right now, he would be getting paid to play for sandy and would be out with the bathwater at the end of this season when the rest of them retired.

And just look at that faux-blonde's coaching record in the WAFL so far this year, a very Melbourne like 0-4.

Well done to Daniel Bell, he's overcome some serious injuries (that finger injury), and some serious personal traumas (losing his mate Troy) as well as an early battle with believing in his ability to make it, thus he thoroughly deserves his moment in the sun this weekend. And yeah lets hope we can win for him!

Would love to see how Belly would go in the forward line, he has a bit of pace and as a flanker he would be hard to match up on. I sometimes feel that he is wasted in the back line.

If we'd traded Yze, you'd prefer to still have him.

Bell puts in the effort every week, in a tough role.

And he has a hundred games left to go.

I have huge respect for Daniel Bell and I'm stoked that he's now a deserved regular in our 22, and will likely make it to his 100th game in about half the time it took him to get to fifty.

GO BELLY!

Im suprised hes only played 50. Feels like hes been around alot longer than that.

ONYA BELLY!

Id be interested in seeing those %'s as they relate to MFC compared to the competition as a whole

Anyways congrats Belly, lets hope ya put in a blinder, and the boys smash the tanking cardboard cartels

Interesting Thread

The ammount of players who play 5 games or under from all team lists is astonishing

Demon all time playing list shows a few interesting facts

300 games and over we have just one (David Neitz)

200 games and over we have 22 which includes 5 current players

100 games and over we have had little over 120 demons represent us

This indicates how hard it is to recruit a player who can give good service for 5 - 6 seasons let alone find a 10 year champion

I hope Belly lifts for himself and has a good one!

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Way back in March we contemplated the possibility of a Demon resurgence after Simon Goodwin’s summer of love. Many issues at the club had seemingly been addressed, key players were returning from injury and a brand new day was about to dawn. We imagined the coach pulling a rabbit out of a hat. The team would roar up the charts, push aside every opponent and make its way to a Grand Final ending in ultimate triumph with Goody and Max holding the premiership cup aloft under a shower of red and blue ticker tape.

  • AFLW REPORT: Western Bulldogs

We’re back! That was fun. The Mighty Dees’ Season 10 campaign is off toa flying start with a commanding 48-point winover the Western Bulldogs, retaining the Hampson-Hardeman Cup in style. After a hard-fought first half in slippery conditions, the Dees came out in the second half and showcased their trademark superior class, piling on four goals in the third termand never looked back.

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
