If Neita retires from after Sunday, who will be the captain for the rest of the year? Or will it be shared? What do people think?

My money is on Bruce.

Green for me. He can talk in the huddle. Bruce cant. Might be hard tho because his not in the leadership group.

I would've said Green too if he were in the leadership group. The players' cockup on this one is looking worse now.

I'd like it to be Miller, though I think Bruce is the most likely candidate.

I hope it is Bruce. If not then Green, then Miller then Junior.

i agree... before the season started i thought brad green would've been our skipper, didn't even make the leadership group... therefore it will be cam bruce, has been doing post match media the last few weeks, as if they were prepping him for it...

I prefer to see JMac as captain. JMAC to fill in which would mean *cough*Brock*cough* as captain next year.

IMO Start fresh with everything including a young captain.

I don't think Junior is someone who could cope with the non-football aspects of captaincy.

I really don't think it can be anyone else other than Bruce.

I would love Macca, but guess they'll pick Cam. won't be Mclean or Green, no longer in leadership group.

Chris Connolley has come out and said that Neitz isn't going to retire, and that the call made by SEN was 'rubbish'.

i guess that's the end of that.

does it have to be from the leadership group?

Could there be a full new re-shuffle and new votes put in due to our start to the season, doubt it but is it possible/?

Probably Bruce, though I don't rate him as a captain.

Give it to him for now, he can see us through this bad year then when we are on the upswing give it to Mclean

Miller can accept one week from the match review!!!!!

He must be regretting that late bump now!

Indeed, as it effectively puts him out of the race. I doubt they'd appoint an interim-interim captain while the interim captain serves his one week ban.

Is that the same as a deputy deputy covering for a deputy,....sheriff?

Junior !!! After the way the players lifted for his 200th game.

Better question at the moment. Who would want to be captain for the rest of 2008 ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
