A question about Casey Fields in Cranbourne

Bloody excited about next Saturday. The boys have recieved a fair kick up the arse withy the 7am Hills session and I daresay next Saturday at Casey Fields we will see a side desperate to atone for their performances thus far.

I am attending the game with a few mates and no doubt will enjoy a few beverages as we are intending to catch the train to Cranbourne. My question is that Casey Fields looks as though it is a fair hike from Cranbourne Station. Do you think it is worth walking from the station to the ground or cabbing or if there is a connecting bus to Caesy Fields?

On a map it looks about just shy of a 3km walk from the station to the ground.

there is a bus which goes about 800m-1km away from the ground, but if there are a few of you youre best pitching in for a cab, would only be about about 6-7 buck fare from the station

Thanx goodoil, I thought as much. Cab will probably be the go as it does look like a fair hike.

Bit late now for the NAB Challenge match I know, but maybe if you're using public transport and visiting during summer training (or coming out to a match at the future boutique stadium in 10 years time when Melbourne plays Western Sydney):

the bus meets every train and travels to within 800 metres of Casey Fields. It is a "claytons train", and was provided in lieu of a promise at the 1999 elections to extend the Cranbourne rail line and build a new station at Cranbourne East. It'll do for now. But it provides a good, reliable service for 20 hours a day.
