TJ in Brisbane undergoing a medical

It was reported on 7 news that Travis was in Brisbane today undergoing a medical. The rumoured trade is Melbourne to get Pick 14 and Rhyce Shaw, Collingwood to get Cameron Wood and Brisbane to get TJ.

hmm i'd do that. Pick 14 is good...which would mean if that happened to be the first deal for us...we have Picks 4, 14, 21,37, and the pick 40 whatever, ect

I could live with that. I love trapper, but an early pick and rhyce shae could be useful (provided that shaw learns how to kick!)

If trapper was in brisbane, this means 2 things. 1- he is willing to be dealt, 2, the deal is close to happening.

A Shaw would be about as bad as getting a Cloke !! No Thanks

How could TJ be there when he was on he way back from Thailand to see his manager

Ch9 reported he could be swapped by Eagles for Pick 20 if the Judd deal goes through as reported

May as well take pick 14 and not bother with the Shaw part of it

Thats getting closer but let's hope the Swans get involved with pick 11.

Take pick 14 and make them re-sign R.Shaw for a further 3 years, now that's a good deal

yes id do that deal.. and to add shaw wud be a sweetner.

Sounds like a decent deal for us, although it would be hard to support Rhyce Shaw...

I agree. With or without Shaw I'd do the deal.

Agreed. If we could twist it to bag a Pie youngster instead of Shaw then I'd be thrilled, but I would do it for Pick 14 by itself without much hesitation.

i don't mind the shaw part of the deal at all. can't imagine why anyone wouldn't want us to add some speed and drive out of our backline.

yeah i agree....dont need him IMO, lets see if we can snag somebody else instead or another pick to use in a trade...out of interest how old is shaw?

Pick 14 and R Shaw. OK in my book. Pick 14's ok for a 28 year old and maybe Ryce will flourish at a new club. He has pace.

Must be satisfied will get Meeson otherwise straight swap for Wood from Lions plus something extra for us. Also must think Meeson is ok.

danny stanley or ryan cook would be handy..

out of interest how old is shaw?

26 in 6 days

i'd prefer martin clarke to r. shaw

I fail to see how pick 14 is adequate compensation for Travis. An untried 18 y.o. for a player with sublime skill and the only bloke that can consistently hit a target in the fwd 50.

Our players In their prime (ie. 26-29 years old)

6) Robbo

7) Green

8) Bruce

9) TJ

10) Whelan

11) Wheatley

12) Carrol

13) Ferguson

Take out TJ and replace with R. Shaw big step backwards. Yes we get pick 14 but I think we should get someone slightly younger or more valuable than R.Shaw as a sweetener in this deal.

I agree, l reckon Shaws okay, he's dropped off after the knee injury but he's an okay player , anyway l don't reckon we should get rid of TJ but it looks like its happening

3AW all but confirmed this just now as well, so looks very likely to happen, depending on medicals.

I like the deal.......I've loved Trapper with the Dees, but we need to make a change.

Pick 14 is a nice pick up, and I actually rate Rhyce Shaw......we need his pace!

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
