Good to hear.

Just for the record I was just [censored] talking, I'm not going to start any fights or anything, I want a good fun clean game. :)

However, if anyone were to throw a punch (which I doubt they would) expect me to retaliate...

so wat ur saying is ur not gonna fight, but u will ?

this post is just putting ur foot in it

I beg you to think on the age differences of the posters on site...

and the age differences of the blokes you will be playing with...

time for the team to come together on site IMHO...

there will be precious little time on sunday, 21 October 2007... ;)

Ok, let me put it this way so your simple mind can understand. I will not start any fights or talk any trasho r any crap like that, BUT, like it real life, if someone throws a punch, I will fight back.

No where in my post I said I wasn't going to fight, I said I'm not going to start any...

But it won't get to the point where i have to fight back (hopefully).

No worries Rollo. I'll say no more, that event you guys held at the leighoak last year was really well done and i'm sure you put a lot of effort into organizing, and I appreciate the effort so no dramas from me. :)

Don't worry boys I'll be wearing my trusty name 5, I'll live up to the number, I play for Braybrook, and if you know anything about our club we have quite the rep...

Us westies are a tough breed madness....nobody pulls the wool over our eyes!

Well being that premiers 08 is my brother and all I can safely say he is 6 foot 4 and has played a fair bit of footy. I think about as much as me, correct me if im wrong premiers? He played division 1 for a bit and then some lower division stuff at waverly blues. I played division one from under 10's till I was 18 then stopped. So this will be my first game in over a year. May be rusty haha.

I reckon you brothers will blitz! Just remember a 2nd timer like myself and probably a few others on the team will need a boost of inspiration from you blokes next Sunday! ;)

Demons 32 needs to start.

Like myself, has confidence issues. Needs to get a feel of it early.

Please make alterations.

Thanks mate.

hey diablo, how is the kicking practice going lol?

Yesssss. Sublime Coxy... sublime... I would have gone out this morning with my brother, but it's a little bit too wet at the moment. I also banged my knee at soccer on Wednesday night, and playing tennis last night aggravated it. No doubt for next Sunday, but it's a bit sore at the moment. Hopefully I can get out a couple of times over the weekend and get a few more drop punts in. I think it's safe to say that there will be no running goals from outside 50 on the cards, however :P

Haha, I don't have to start at all. Don't worry MelbourneFC.

It's just a relaxed game.

Excellent news, can't wait to see your silky delivery into the forward line

Yes the weather is rather unappealing today, I'm hoping the weather sunday week is somewhat nicer

I've been hitting the gym in an attempt to improve my fitness before the big match  hopefully I wont die 1 minute in

Looking forward to getting out there and doing it for the dee's :)

I am not needed in the side anymore? That's cool.

For the record, 191cm 76kg, bit of speed and endurance. Run off the half back line is my superiority.

lots to read on the board at the moment, but this thread should never become a sticky, and should not drop off the board...

until after sunday, 21 october 2007 of course...

Gentlemen and for the benefit of political correctness ladies,

There are nine days to go and, as coach, I've been trying to do a Bomber Thompson and keep a lid on it but Rollo has requested that I address you at this stage in order that you all fully understand the importance of this game.

Just a couple of things to remember as the day draws near -

Firstly, we should never underestimate the importance of being both physically and mentally prepared for whatever sporting pursuit we undertake. I'm therefore ordering all of those who smoke to keep it down to one packet a day until the evening of Sunday 21 October 2007. After that you can do what you like but until then I want everybody to demonstrate some personal discipline and observe this rule. I'm sure you'll appreciate it late in the third quarter when the opposition starts coughing, wheezing and falling by the wayside.

Secondly, I think it's time to start a special set of exercises to get your strenth up for the big game. Tonight, when you open your first stubby or tinny for the evening, try a simple arm extension and bend before you start gulping down the amber liquid. This will do wonders for your muscle tone in the upper arm regions. Try to keep it down to no more than a dozen stubbies or cans a night for the time being so you can remember how much training you've put in on any given night.

Finally, don't listen to any gossip or rumours about whether you might or might not be delisted from the team. It's just that time of year again!

As coach I have the utmost faith in you as my players in much the same way as the board stands 100% behind me.

Cheers until next time!

I have toned my B&H's down from Rich to Smooth. (I think in the old scale that is from Medium to Extra Mild) I don't what they are now as they down't write the nicotine content anymore!

Is that sufficient?

I'll also have diet coke with my jack daniels tonight.

"Gentlemen...Cheers until next time!"

I liked the start and the end, WJ...

it's the bits in the middle that I did not quite have in mind...

but never question the coach's methods, they say...

Very sorry fellas, but I have to pull out as I'll be at a conference. Thought I was presenting on Saturday, but only found out yesterday that I have to do it on Sunday. Good luck.

    TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE
