last year we had scotty's little brother...

and scotty's little brother's little mate...

don't think either of them was as old as 14...

come on down if you can get parental permission...

you can fetch and carry water and sunscreen if we can't find a spot for you...

Beeema22, you are more than welcome to come down if you like.

As Rollo said, you can be our waterboy, sunscreen provider! All you gotta do is let me know.

We're hoping, I'M HOPING we have another one after this one, Wise Monkey will lead the charge!

My guess is for late November??

hey, mfc...

I have heard from the opposition about the after-match BBQ...

they are still trying to sort out their personnel, and I will keep talking to them...

you could add legend, and lexl from demonology, to the team list as additional drinkers...

seriously, they will be helping out with the after-match function, and I could not have done without legend's assistance last time...

Hi guys.

Sorry for the late reply, had a big weekend, my uni graduation, a cousins wedding, saints B and F function....still recovering.

Yep that date is fine and confirmed. 2pm at Glenferrie Oval.

We have an umpire provided, but if you guys have any one keen to either goal umpire or run the boundary or something that'd be good, if not we can find some of the 'support staff' on the day.

The thread on our forum is taking off again. we floated before approaching you guys then brought it back up when we had a date confirmed.

Good work with the enthusiasm, you guys are always the most organised of the sides and it makes life very easy.

Should be a ripper.

P.S....We are trying to chase up BackfromUSA on our forum who always organises the BBQ....details as they come to hand

cheers.

Go Sainters.

21 October / 2pm @ Glenferrie it is. Lock that in!

As for the boundary and goal umps, I'll leave that up to the rest of the support staff on the day.

We're a pretty organised bunch here at Demonland HD...we're ready for the challenge!

Go Dees!

I would vounteer to be goal umpire again...

if freak was not playing...

he peppers the behind posts so much, it can drive a person to distraction...

was it a point or out-of-bounds ??

too many decisions...

* HD from Saintsational has been intouch - it's full steam ahead...

* If we can lure a few more guys for our Interchange bench it would be ideal....

* Has anyone seen what the turf is like at Glenferrie Oval lately?

I don't have a Guernsey!

Well I do but it's old & crappy...

I usually wear an Melbourne Polo to matches...

"I don't have a Guernsey!"

are you volunteering, p08 ??

thanks for reminding me...

if anyone has a spare jumper or two, please bring them along...

apart from sunscreen, it is the thing most needed and most forgotten...

Hey whats the usual age and talent for these things? Being my first I wouldn't know.

And to anybody who needs to know, I won't be able to hang around after the game.

rollo, i have the big carl!

let me know when your down here and we'll organise to meet up.

see you then, cactus

Hey P'08, I think you're playing alongside me in the forward line!

Any MFC guernsey will do if you can find one!

Guys, spare jumpers would be great should you have any..... Very important part of the game so we know who to pass too!! :o

No limits on age, sex or talent. It's fun, social and a good day out with heaps of exercise! ;)

That's the way I like to look at it....it keeps me fit!

Great going Cactus! Rollo.....over to you!

Heard from HD today....here's what he had to say about the grounds condition at Glenferrie....it's looking sensational!

"Yeah a few people live near by and some also have commuted past the ground and they say its looking nice and green.

I was considering moving the games to another venue a while back but they have guaranteed me that the ground is ok.

So it should be fine."

2nd that, go past it everyday almost and it is looking 100 times better than last game... should be a bit easier on the knees, ankles and groins ;)

The surface last time was a shocker....glad we'll actually have grass to collapse on at quarter and half times!

hey, D32...

I did reply to your post, but my reply seems to have disappeared into cyberspace...

there are some talented individuals, but it's the footy equivalent of back-yard cricket...

we could have been sued last time for playing a couple of twelve-year-olds...

and the sainters had some elderly citizens on the park...

but the average age is mid-20s, i would guess...

" i have the big carl! "

not for long, singular cacti...

I am coming down tomorrow, and will ring to arrange the surrender of the trophy...

btw, if we win, and if the next game is likely to be in November, it may be best for me to endorse the win on the cup before giving it to freak...

(I will discuss this with you and freak)...

  • CASEY: Richmond

The winds finally returned to Casey Fields for the Demons’ third home game of the VFL season, and its impact was immediate. After two opening rounds played in uncharacteristically fine conditions, the Anzac Day clash brought back the familiar gusty conditions that have been a feature of the region at this time of the year.
Forced to kick into the breeze first, the slow-starting Demons faced a tricky opening against an enthusiastic young Tigers outfit. Casey responded by turning the contest into a scramble, pressuring Richmond into errors and missed targets. The tactic proved crucial, keeping the game tight for three and a half quarters before the Demons pulled away with the autumn wind at their backs.

  • REPORT: Richmond

It seemed as if the whole purpose of the Anzac Eve clash at the MCG between the Demons and the Tigers was building toward that single, unforgettable moment when Kozzie Pickett soared above Campbell Gray and all but fittingly etched his name onto the face of the 2026 Frank ‘Checker’ Hughes Medal.
