 Chris Judd is $7.50 on Sporting Bet to come to the Dees.

Carlton are favourites at $1.45 followed by Collingwood at $3.75 and Essendon at $5.50 with us running fourth.

Richmond and Hawthorn are equal 5th at $11.

Good value IMO.

Coxy, it's part of the 100 point id check, just like opening a bank account. Just be aware that if you use your credit card to directly deposit funds, there's a $3.30 charge each time. It's cheaper to deposit money into your account at a TAB outlet.

Cheers, I normally am a TAB customer but they are not offering the Judd bet

That is to withdraw money

DOnt even worry about that yet, unless you win something

YM, as you know, Judd is a sure thing, so I consider it more of an investment for my future

Thats true

Id put a few grand on it if I were you

After todays meetings the Dees have firmed into $3.50.

Carlton 1.60
Collingwood 3.50
Melbourne 3.50
Essendon 7.00
Richmond 21.00
Hawthorn 26.00
St Kilda 67.00
Kangaroos 101.00
Geelong 151.00
Western Bulldogs 201.00

Were firming ;)

And everybody should note that at Demonland you are not being encouraged to gamble. Only to bet!

And essendon will firm when they meet him as will the Filth.

so true, glad I got on yesterday when we were 7.50

I got in at $8 and then 5 minutes later it goes up to $9!

Alwell, happy considering what its at now...

No value at all on Carlton.

I can't really understand why there has been so much money for us of late. Perhaps people didn't actually believe we were going to meet him until it happened. And now people are so shocked that we are being proactive that they're throwing money at us.

Anyway, I'm not saying the money is wrong. On the contrary, as I've said elsewhere. I just can't understand whats happened in the last 24 hours thats given us such a boost in the hunt for Judd.

It is rather interesting isnt it.

The carlton money you can understand as they simply think its done and dusted.

Collingwood simply have weight of numbers , they also have blinkered self belief.

And then to us...we're the enigma...youd almost have to say our odds are purely representative of our chances..not so much the money wagered...and yet bookies take note of the bets and adjust. Makes you wonder doesnt it :)

People are just buying into the 'sentiment' argument

Possibly..but it will only be Melbourne people doing that... I just am surprised there are sufficinet to cause that effect for that reason on the odds.

its the media and all supporters of non-participating clubs who are on the Demons for 'sentimental' reasons

Can you get odds for West Coast? Surely after the news that they're considering offering Judd the option to live in Victoria and fly to WA for home games, they'd be a chance. Certainly worthy of a lazy fiver at 500 - 1.

maybe juddy really liked the meeting yesterday, has decided he wants to play for the demons and put all his money on him coming to play for us?

no?

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
