Hudson defects from Crows to Bulldogs

Another 29 year old that wants a 3 year deal

And the Doggies are interested again?

[censored], id hate to follow the Bulldogs

On the plus side, Adelaide might be looking for a replacement, relatively young ruckman. Perhaps a big-bodied fella who hasn't quite learnt to contribute around the ground but has routinely shown potential, possibly really benefiting from a change of club?

what a tool! 29 and wants a three year deal. who does he think he is chris judd??!! after adelaide put in soo much effort into this guy and drafted him at 25 years old he walks out coz he aint happy

True.

He gets picked up by the crows as a 25 year old (very lucky)

He misses almost a year of football having a knee reco, the crows stick with him, he then screws them......what a champ.

As you said, he started footy very late.

AFL football is a job, and many players will make more money playing football than will post-retirement.

I imagine that he wants to make hay while the sun shines, and that's his right.

Agree. Take the money and run.

Otherwise why else would players have managers?

And Jamar's from SA isn't he? Might be able to wrangle a second round pick out of that....

Adelaide have Maric, Griffin and also Meeson so possibly not short on ruckmen. and some bloke called rhett biglands!!

a club would be negligent to give a three year contract to a player like this. he is 29, had a knee reconstruction last season.

is jamar worth anything? he was again disappointing in that he could not string games together, he could take marks one week and the week after had the presence of pebbles!!

It's disappointing to read in todays Herald Sun that Adelaide are making a play for Cameron Wood. I'd love him at Melbourne, but being a South Australian, fair chance of the Crows will get him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Adelaide pick up Jamar he is only 23 turning 24. So if we trade him what would we get in return? Maybe a 3rd round pick?

4th I'd say.

Jamar and pick 53 for Adelaide's pick 59. No I did not make a typo and yes I think this is fair. We actually need to give a club some kind of benefit for clogging up a spot on their list.

That's about as idiotic as it gets because you might as well delist him instead.

Swap Jamar for Jolly, Jolly wants to return home, the Swans will be desperate for a ruckman. Minson comes from S.A so you would think that they will swap him for Hudson.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
