On ability he could grab the spot of someone like Sharp

The athletic profile or lack thereof is what hurts him

I didn’t know Sharpie’s spot was up for grabs.

the fine is, from memory, if you bring a player in who is not listed as an emergency

So you are allowed to play a non-emergency named player but you get a fine?

23 spots up for grabs from my understanding

Well that’s 23 spots to which Bill can aspire. Why single out Sharpie?

Correct. The Pies did that against us a few years ago as one example I can recall.

Collingwood, so called “100k member powerhouses” got just over 40k against GWS on a Friday Night in a 50k seat stadium and the Dogs got 28k against the same opposition at home.

Really hope our fans turn up and push 35k+ and put the fake narrative that we don’t attract crowds to bed. Would also stick it up Judas in the process while he plays in front of 8k crowds.

I’m optimistic it could happen, because against St Kilda, the crowd was 40k but I could have sworn only 6-8k Saints fans turned up.

As usual we got screwed by the game being on Easter Sunday. Many, like myself, have family commitments and cannot attend.

Huh, well there you go. I didn't even know that was allowed at all.

Now that he is officially an out, it’s easy to say he was never gonna play. But right up until the announcement people did think he might’ve been a chance to play.

How bad is it Ghosty?!

my only concern arises from the vision of Melksham against the doggies.

I do like ghosties scenario of the 150 lead up and am now going to scour the training reports,

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
