Demonstone's Execrable Exasperating Exacerbating Examination

Featured Replies

Roll up, roll up for another brainteaser, which is dedicated to Alan Jarrott seeing as it's number 47.

The usual format applies and the rules are the same as always (ie - all answers in a PM only please).

What do the past and present players in today's team have in common?

I reckon it's a pretty easy one and, in light of recent developments, considered awarding prizes to the first ten correct entries.

However, Demonland has much more integrity than that so it will be the top three only.

================================================================================

B: Keidean Coleman Paul Weston Jared Rivers

H/B: Christian Salem Gary Pert Josh Gibson

C: Toby Bedford Dane Swan Caleb Windsor

H/F: Dean Kent Lance Franklin Jordan Clark

F: Zac Bailey Aidan Johnson Robbie Fox

R: Rowan Marshall Dustin Martin Luke Parker

I/C: Rhys Stanley Bailey Scott Nik Cox Harry Sharp

COACH: Adam Simpson

Hmmm, no signs of life so far. And here I was thinking this one was a bit of a gimme.

Although the answer is not football related, you might say that it does pay homage to a well-known former Demon.

It's always bloody easy if you know the answer... 🙄🙄🙄🙄🤣🤣🤣

Back to.... my Quizes for Dummies.....🤔🥴

PM me with you answer, @kurtneverdied .

edit: The answer was incorrect. There is no link to recruiting zones (nor to any other footy related matter).

Can't see the wood for the trees? Vision cloudy? Can't quite get the picture?

The answer may become a little clearer if you use this clue correctly.

You'd scarcely believe just how many people have asked for more of these juicy pictorial clues.

I'm happy to oblige! See you all tomorrow, with all three prizes still up for grabs.

Nice to see a couple of overnight answers but, alas, both were incorrect. The players don't share a name with US Counties, nor are they all colourblind.

I mentioned in the OP that this is my 47th teaser and I have another one prepared.

Two more after that would bring the total to a whopping 50 and qualify me for the title of Veteran Setter Of Puzzles.

Suggestions that all players share their name with dogs, fish, birds or cars are all incorrect.

I'll have a fifth clue for you a bit later on which will surely give the game away. (that is not a clue, by the way)

Someone has clearly knocked off his dictionary set from E onwards.

Go fund him?

I said fund.

It's approaching Christmas.

I do wonder, on how many club's forums there would be threads that prompt me to read Jabberwocky?

I'll sneak this pictorial clue in before you all switch your attention to the W final at Princes Park. Go Demons!

I've got it!

Their photos all produce wild AI hallucinations which completely misidentify them!

@Little Goffy has sent several more suggestions, but he's just being silly now. I like that!

"Although the answer is not football related, you might say that it does pay homage to a well-known former Demon."

The Demon in question was coached by Simon Goodwin, which may help to narrow the field a little.

Well, it's half-time in the football and the umpires have a handy two goal lead.

In better news, the persistence of @Little Goffy has paid off and he is the first to solve the teaser.

For his efforts, LG has the honour of composing the wording on the MFC Cheer Squad banner vs any team of his choice. (Keep it nice, mate)

All hail @kurtneverdied who has supplied an answer of such quality that, although not exactly what I was after, satisfied the criteria of the teaser.

He (? I'm assuming that) wins second prize and is now entitled to redo Melbourne's fixture for 2026 in any manner he sees fit.

Here is my final clue. I have no others. This should make it pretty obvious.

Not that obvious, it would seem.

How about if I repeat this image

But show you how he looks these days ...

Is that Garry Lyon?

Sheesh, I've given you all the answer on a platter. It's not as if third prize isn't worth winning!

By the way @Little Goffy and @kurtneverdied , I'm still waiting for you to hand in the homework that came with your prizes. 😁

  • Author

Congratulations to @Ethan Tremblay who has solved the mystery and earns the right to nominate our first three selections in next week's AFL Draft.

(If you were to name Cameron Nairn as our first pick, that would really annoy @Oxdee 😁)

Full reveal of the teaser to follow at some point. Other entries still welcome. @Timothy Reddan-A'Blew ? @Ghostwriter ? @Mazer Rackham ? @tilly18 ?

North, Tigers, North, Tigers and so on every week of year as you said in any manner as I see fit. 😁
