Clarry and Trac were a big part of our flag

And they were a big part of our subsequent downfall

I’m ambivalent about both. If they do well, good for them, if they don’t, well I don’t really care tbh.

It would have been so hard to play well if arguably 2 of the main 3 players were causing so many problems.

Add the loss of Gus.

Well yeah. I was more thinking about 2025. But if all 3 were still playing like in 2022 and without off field issues we wouldnt have been anywhere near 14th

What about 3 of the main 4 best players? We couldn’t trade one of them

Even though Gus will be forever remembered for his grand final heroics I have a feeling he was more than just a champion footballer. He and his family were the glue keeping everyone united. We died the day Maynard ended his career.

I was having a lengthy conversation with a staffer who was telling me how much the rest of the playing group have little time for him anymore. He and Clarry in particular have had a massive falling out, to the point that apparently in that famed 12 minute meeting he said "I'm not hanging around if that c&*^ is still at the club". It was uncomfortable hearing that! She also mentioned she heard several groans from some players when Trac said in his speech that "footy is just a job". Many felt then he was leaving.

Sad to hear of their falling out after this image.jpeg

Huh?

Max was on mmm rush hour a couple of weeks ago. Mentioned how he has had some great coaches in Bailey, roos, Goodwin but noticed he left 1 out.

Asked about Clayton, said no one is probably closer to him than he is, really hopes gws works out for him & a fresh start is probably the best thing for him & said hopes he wearing the brownlow at the end of the year.

When asked about trac, Max just said he's going to a great team who will probably dominate for the next 10 years.

The truth reasons of what occurred will it ever be known? How does Gawn feel after Trac committed to the club at the beginning of the season then gets up and leaves, the meeting with the senior players at end of 2024..

Another thread that evolves into more weeping and navel gazing about the departures of Petracca and Oliver! Time to move on! They have left the building and there is plenty to look forward to!
