OK ... we'll be enemies next time we meet .... but checking the Saintsational website it appears that most Saints fans were cheering on your boys last night. I know I was.

I wrote: Sure Dees should have won and missed shots on goal ... but gee it made me sick seeing Dons win in dying secs. Would have been nice to see the Dees win one last time for The Rev ... plus it would help our cause. Turned off TV straight away couldn't bear to watch Essendon fans celebrate. Sickening!!

Another Saint fan says: Well i was actually at the game as i had free tix from some bombers-supporting mates. I thought it would be nice to go along without the pressure of supporting your team - how wrong i was !

I found myself barracking for the dees, as the bummers fans around me were giving me the sh!ts. When essedon stole the game, it felt like my own team had just lost. Was very surprised actually. I guess it goes to show how much i hate essendon fans

Last week when we beat Eagles ... it was like a fairy tale ending - and that's how I wanted the game to go last night. Just one more win for Neale would have been a lovely memory to go out on. Nothing worse than losing a game when you've been winning the whole quarter and lose in the last 6 secs. Yeah ... Dons Suck!

All the best guys. Looks like neither the Saints or Dees will be sharing in Sep action this year.

if the demons had had the rub of the green like the bombers have had in the close finishes - we'd be 6-7 and if they had gotten the same deal as us they would be 4-9 - considering the guys carrying them accross the line this year are Hird, Fletcher, Lucas and Lloyd I wouldnt be getting to excited about their future. Although I might just be bitter from last night still

With me being a Demons member and the wife a Saints member, we share each others pain most weeks. A combined 84 years with no flag will probably have both sets of fans seeing the same things each week. Must admit, given the vote to merge with the Dorks, i said NO! Not sure i would have voted with the same passion if it had been the Saints. Only problem there is, even combined, we would still lack the playing intensity of the Roos.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
