Ha.

I've always loved Tmac

I don't think I've ever said a bad word against him ever.

Always been one of my faves and one of the most committed players we've ever had.

Would hope the brains trust at MFC see that the forward line actually looked a lot better than it has for a while and keep it that way, I thought it functioned very well. I'd hate for them to mess with it again just because someone like Petty might be available when really he is probably best to take Lever's spot right now anyway.

Surely they would see that too and want to just let it lie for a bit. Give it a chance!

On that too, don't you dare drop Tmac again he looks so much better right now than both May and Lever, just more fit and mobile plus a big guy, why he hasn't been in the team the whole time is beyond me but hope he stays now and I hope we get another year out of him in this form too, he's a gem.

Shout out to Fritsch too...played beautifully and unselfishly he looked refreshed and a great team player and able to kick goals, he was fantastic and I hope we see more of that version of him that we all know and love to see!

Yes please.

Petty down back again where the poor bloke plays really well. And would be a far better option than Lever currently. For sure. It's been so long I think many of us may have forgotten how good Petts is as a defender.

Playing forward he struggles to take an uncontested mark.

Back as a defender he would take contested ones frequently.

Played a huge part in our 21 success. To be fair Lever and May were cat their peak alongside him.O remember him absolutely crushing port in Adelaide one day.

But now we have Tmac reinventing himself to reinventing himself as a defender again.

Tmac is looking almost as good as a defender of five years ago. He held it altogether on Sunday.

Him, Turner and Petty is strong enough and maybe we could trial May forward.

Id actually prefer Turner fwd but he's probably our main defender of the future and I guess May as a fwd is too late now. To

Anyway if Goody can be stubborn about this than so can I.

Let's just hope Roo finds his old mojo and Jeffo shows what others have said he can do. At least he's earned a spot for next week.

I hope so.

Nothing to do with TMac, I was thinking more along the lines of the brevity of the post.

If we are relying on Melksham we may have a problem with Father Time.

Other than Turner I can't see anyone in the team or at Casey coming near filling his role

Spot on DJ! unless injury intervenes IMO we have 2026 to find a replacement. Have a look at how fit and lean he is, deserves another year contract.

OD, I’m prepared to put out here that Luker Kentfield will start to display Hawkins-like potential after a full pre-season. That’s my prediction anyway. (My prediction during pre-season this year was that Disco Turner would become our most improved player this year - and I think I’m not far off nailing that one). I think Luker, JVR and Jeffo could well be sensational in our forward line in the next year or two. In other words, we don’t need an outsider - we already have what we need.

I hope you are 100% correct NC. It's a shame Kentfield had such a poor preseason, he wasn't just injured he had a very serious lung infection which keep him from any training for at least 6 weeks. I don't think Petracca has Yet got over his horrendous injury 13 months ago. On a number of occasions this year he has seemed hesitant. The second half on Sunday was the best 2 quarters I have seen from him this year. Sadly at present his kicking has been poor, no idea why. Before the season started I wonder how well he would be this year. Most players take a while to recover from big injuries even if they look physically fit. Here's hoping for a much better 2026. I hope so I am running out of years.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.
