Cats defender Tom Stewart cleared from a bone rattling bump.

To be fair, he didn't leave the ground. But at 190 cm, he's a big bloke, so players of his ilk are always going to get a lot of players higher up.

It seems a tough area to adjudicate on. Didn't look to have eyes for the ball and certainly took the recipient out.

Basically now the precedent is someone like Max could "bump" a small player and totally clean them up. But I'm sure they will flip flop.

None of us want to see the game become too sanitary in this area , so maybe they got this one right. It's a tough game AFL. Maybe there's a bit of bloodlust in a lot of us.

Well not wishing for permanent harm but I think we all do enjoy seeing a little bit of physicality in the game.

Let's just hope for some consistency on this issue. And a few decent bumps against the pies tomorrow.

    Not sure that their premiership player aka impartial and consistent MRO would be as lenient were a Magpie to be bumped. However if a Magpie were the bumper, ????

    Consistency is never going to happen.

    Stewart did nothing to mitigate contact.

    Anderson’s head made very forceful contact with the ground.

    Seemed to be a lot more reckless than a lot of so-called reckless acts. E.g. Peatling’s dangerous tackle on Friday night.

    Is there a possibility of this one being used for the defence?

    Yes tbh, I was a little conflicted. But you can't take away everything.

    There was obvious accidental head trauma to Anderson. Wouldn’t it be surprised if it’s delayed in a similar way to Viney.

    Even minor accidental head trauma is reportable from a tackle.

    How can a front on bump be safer? Or any different? It’s certainly more reckless.

    It certainly looked a lot more reckless than Kozzie’s bump on Moore last year.

    Noah Anderson is out for the mandatory 12 days under the Indigestion Protocol, so Stewart has to be punished. Maybe forced to eat cabbage soup for a month?

    Wouldn't touch this with a shoulder the size of Tarzan's. They would be just waiting for someone like Kos to hit anyone above their hip area and he would get four was.

    There's always MMA, if you like that kind of physical injury. Hopefully some kind of class action in the distant future will clean up this carnage and lighten the pockets of some of these Sports executives, hopefully the AFL as well.
