The best available at draft

Trade for a key forward if ones available

Trade for Butters

Trade for Allan

White will be a Demon or I’ll burn his family house down and I dare say if it’s in the GC it’ll burn like foam.

Sort of depends on list retention (Pickett), small forward stock not the deepest at present.

ill start the go fund me for your bail

Ideally five players who, at the crucial moment, can be united to form one giant superplayer.

From what I've gathered from other threads dor us this draft is going to be all about f/s, next generation academy and such.

Could get very complicated quickly if exits do happen, though. I think we would want to gather an absolute top pick, rather than multiple 'good', in pursuit of another star to build our regeneration around.

The overall talent isn’t meant to be as good as other year and then it compromised by F/S and academy players. We also have a F/S and academy that at this stage look more likley to be picked later in the draft.

Leaving the Jackson stuff aside I’d say our chances of trading into the first round will be very high as teams with quality F/S and NGA picks could find themselves in the same position as the bombers last year and our future first pick will be more attractive than most.

The most compromised draft ever… not having a first round pick but access to a few talents via f/s and NGA is our path forward. Still want to death ride the bombers, however. Remember we got Lindsay and Langford, and will have a year into both. They will be awesome, and probably better than we would have been able to get with this years mess, once we finish middle table.

I've got a feeling Tracc will leave soon.

When is he contracted ?

Kozzie wants leave.

Oliver's just way off.

Vineys getting way on in years.

So as many mids as we can and of course the biggest, strongest and accurate fwd we can find. One that actually chases and tackles to remind Fritta what the job is all about.

Not much.

Which is exactly why we were happy to trade out first pick to get Lindsay.

Lindsay would be a top 5 pick in this draft I heard one recruiter say.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
