Jack Bell is playing, having replaced Shane McAdam in the selected side.

Lachie Hunter is apparently being managed as he doesn’t appear to have come onto the ground.

Edited by KC from Casey

Casey two late goals in red mist* time. Scores are equal.

*Tommy Sparrow is an angry young man.

Umbrellas are up, light rain falling at commencement of second quarter.

All points to Sparrow getting the message. 10 disposals and tackling like a beast. Love to see him bring this at AFL level.

Complete opposite to Hunter who's efforts are.... uncompetitive

Spazzed!!! Mitch White ripper goal!!!

Rain is persisting down. JEFFO!!!!!

Sparrow showing the desire to get back into the senior side. Something id like to see more of, from other mfc listed players.

Great goal Jeff. Yze to Sestan, superb pass from OIliie to Jeffo who centers the ball to the square misses the pack and goers through for a goal. Great play

Denied free to Casey in G square so blatant. Pin the tail on the umpire.

Tom Sparrow horrific turn over nearly set up a goal

Dumb and dumber Casey defence.

No sign of Shane McAdam this morning. Despite being selected late withdrawal from side?

The Demons return to town fresh off a thumping win over the back-to-back wooden spooners, the West Coast Eagles, played in front of a sparse crowd at Marvel Stadium, the same venue that hosted last week's heartbreaking loss.

  • PREVIEW: West Coast

It was bad enough that the Melbourne Football Club created yet another humiliating scenario inside its wretched season at Marvel Stadium last Sunday, but the final insult is that it has been commanded to return to the scene of the crime to inflict further punishment on its fans this week. Incidentally, if this match preview, of a game that promises to be one of the most unattractive fixtures in the history of the game, happens to cut out of your computer screen three quarters of the way through, it’s no coincidence. I’ll be mirroring the Demons’ lacklustre effort against St Kilda from last Sunday when they conceded the largest last quarter turnaround for victory in the history of the game.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.
