Good point but he has played forward previously. I'd get him in forward ahead of McAdam based on what I've seen. It must be tough for AMW, notwithstanding his drawbacks, to get 25-30 touches a week in a terrible side to see McAdam get picked 3 weeks in a row for a total ~10 touches

Agree McAdam isn't giving us anything at the moment, but AMW is getting 25-30 by playing down back, he takes kick ins... he's not producing that output as a forward.

I'm just flat because I'm not really seeing anyone knocking the door down at Casey demanding to be picked, AMW is playing well, but is not outstanding.

What I'd love to know is how far Melksham is... he's taking that place when fit I suspect.  I'd also love to see Kynan Brown string a couple together and push for senior selection, shows a lot of effort..

Ok, AMW has been in cracking 'ball magnet' form for Casey. No argument about that.

If AMW is not ready for AFL selection can some one 'in the know' or is a regular Casey Watcher please let us know what areas he lacks in, eg Disposal, speed, awareness, team orientated, defensive skills, tends to lose 1 on one's etc, strenght over ball etc.

The Jayden Hunt analogy is a close likeness, Love his dash and he gets the ball a lot but occasionally his disposal and decision making can be a fraction off. But I like what he brings to the table!!

Thanks, Jadyn was unlucky to be injured at the wrong time in 2021. Otherwise could have been a premiership player.

If AMW is as good as Jadyn i think we should find a spot for him before the end of this season. See how he goes.

I mentioned to DD on the Stats File that Kade Chandler has dropped right off the charts and needs a spell to get over his injury/ loss of form and that Andy Moniz-Wakefield is running on top of the ground and could spell him, could work for both of them.

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
