I am bullish about us this season. ย Top 4 ( us, giants, bears and pies). ย Suspect we turn 5:1 at the bye. ย Will love spending many hours with you across the season.

Who will be the biggest improver?

How much will TMAC and BBB contribute?

Who is your biggest โ€˜smokeyโ€™ to be a regular (cf. last year).

What are the chances of Blake Howes being this seasonโ€™s Judd McVee? ย ๐Ÿคž

ย

Kozzie attending 8+ centre bounces per game looks like a no brainer, heโ€™s almost unstoppable. It also frees him up, boosts his confidence and is a nightmare matchup for oppoโ€™s.ย
ย

Have the MFC brains trust got the brains to make this move consistently throughout the year?

There seems a lot more flexibility through the midfield ย  - ย will Tracc and Clayton spend more time forward with more mid time from Salo, Sparrow and maybe Rivers.

Are Woey and Pup Brown likely to become regulars and if so are Chandler and Laurie vulnerable?

Looking forward to (as the year progresses) hearing of the progress of Jefferson and Adams in particular as future KPPย

The whole team looked in far better synch last week - hopefully a predictor of the season. ย
ย

GO DEES.ย

After a long hiatus over the summer (necessary to recover from last yearโ€™s disappointment), Iโ€™m now ready for the season and am more optimistic than I was two months ago. Not as bullish as I was last yearโ€”I had predicted top-2 and a GF berth last yearโ€”but confident we can make top-4 assuming an average injury run.ย
ย

Four questions :

1. Which team is our greatest threat this year?

2. Who do you think will be our top goal kicker and who our most reliable goal kicker (shots to goal ratio)?

3. What adjustments to our on-field and off-field load management strategy do you think weโ€™ll make or should make to get through the long season and peak in September?

4. Finally, at what round and minimum ladder position should I consider investing in the GF guarantee? ๐Ÿ˜

Thanks and looking foreword to another great season of the podcast!

Good take on Max - he looks like heโ€™s had enough (in a good way) and is ready to play angry ๐Ÿ˜คย

Great listening as usual guys. ย Thanks! ย ย
I reckon Bin nailed the Brownlow prediction ๐Ÿ˜„

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Brisbane

Forget the haunting of Round 11 โ€” weโ€™ve got this. Melbourne returns to its inner-city fortress for its milestone 100th AFLW match, carrying a formidable 10โ€“2 record at IKON Stadium. Brisbaneโ€™s record at the venue is more balanced: 4 wins, 4 losses and a draw.ย

  • AFLW REPORT: Geelong

Melbourne wrapped up the AFLW home and away season with a hard-fought 14-point win over Geelong at Kardinia Park. The result secured second place on the ladder with a 9โ€“3 record and a home qualifying final against the Brisbane Lions next week.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Geelong

Itโ€™s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brillianceโ€”mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

๏ปฟAย steamyย Springfieldย evening set the stage for a blockbusterย top-fourย clash between two AFLW heavyweights.ย Brisbane, the bookiesโ€™ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing inโ€”the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season.ย It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6โ€“4 edge. Butย whileย the Lionsย broughtย theย chaos andย roared loudest, the Demonsย arenโ€™t doneย yet.
