2 weeks in a row sides get done by the Goal Umps

So if a player shoots at goal but falls short a teammate can punch it through the goals and it’s 6 points?  Don’t like it too

We won't know for sure until all the Round 24 results are in. However, it could turn out that the real victims here are Geelong.

I guess there could be one good thing coming out of this farce.

Maybe we should get the ARC to check every claim by a player that he touched the ball to see whether he's been cheating. If we do that, though, we're going to need an ARC the size of Noah's.

For starters getting one ARC that is even  a little more updated than Noah's would be good start.   Sending the engraved tablet back to Jerusalem for adjudication must have taken an eternity.

LDVC, one option is like soccer if it goes in the net it's a goal doesn't matter how it gets there, or it has to be kicked. Either way it is much easier to umpire and expensive sub standard inaccurate systems are not required.

That would change the game so much I would prefer to stick with the current rules and system, flaws and all.

More than an eternity. Noah predates Jerusalem...which, if it had existed at that time, would have been underwater, anyway.

Is that the Noel the Angels did sing when Santa Klaus delivers my electric train set to the wrong address every friggin year?

I see the AFL is beefing up the ARC system for the finals. I wonder if they couldn't find a way to adapt cricket's Snicko technology which records any contact between bat and ball. I may be the odd one out here, but I can't blame goal umpires for errors that literally involve a couple of millimetres at times. It is a very difficult job with many close calls to be made under huge pressure.

Whilst I think it's a good idea for goal scoring, I'm afraid this technology might have the capability of taking away some of the other controversial decisions made by umpires during a game such as short passes, how far a player has run without bouncing, and a miriad of other things that although might be wrong at the time, bring entertainment  in relation to the reaction of the crowd to the decision. That's what makes our game great, the cheering, the booing, which I know with the latter, can sometimes over the top, but regardless makes for conversation and interaction and discussion which is a essential element in our game which I would hate to lose.

Why not have that new technology with  holographic Umpires.
